Hey folks, my most beautiful and wonderful other half gave birth to our first child on Saturday. He was 7 lbs, 14 ounces, and so far he's healthy as a horse.
On a side note, I haven't been able to shoot all summer because I screwed up the tendon for my right bicep pulling up carpet that was in the baby's room a few months ago. It's almost better, hope to pump up the Sumatra and do a little shooting this weekend. Looking forward to it, but hoping I can regain my aim. :-)

Congratulations, guys!!! My boys are 22 and 16 now and it seems like yesterday that I was in your shoes, crowing my head off about what I had done! LOL Fortunately my wife was patient with me and not only allowed me to think I had a great big ole part in it but she also held back on telling me about what I was going to get to do over the next 20 years or so! LOL Remember this feeling, guys, it will get you through some of the low times and remind you just how wonderful life really is. Enjoy being a Dad for all it's worth. Money, prestige and advancement is not even a pale shadow to the gleam in your baby's eye when they see you, so don't get side-tracked from the important things in life. In other words, don't get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life with your family.
blessings and prayers for each and every one of you, joe

Yes indeed. Life goes by in a hurry so enjoy it and the kids while you can. There will be good times and tough times, good days and bad days but once you get up in years and look back... you usually see nothing but the good. I've got kids, grand kids as well as great grand kids and there is nothing like family. Oh...and one other thing... Christmas is tough on me and Sherrie... :D :p
