Hey everyone!
I'm looking at a 1988 toyota 4x4 pickup truck for sale - it has a 3 inch body lift on it and it has 31x10.5 rims
About how much would it cost to get it lowered back to normal and to get the regular rims and tires on it - I'm just trying to get rid of the off road look and turn it back into a standard 4x4 truck
Thank You For Your Help

Hi.. with a 1988 the chances are its been lifted by putting 3"
spacer blocks between the diffs and leaf springs..."Remove them"
I had 31x10.5 BF Goodridges on my Mitsy they lasted for ever about 150,000 km - 90.000 miles..
stick with the big tyres...31x10.5 an't that big and will sit under it with strandard ride hight...

You're right kiwi - I forgot to mention that they are blocks
I guess I just can't picture having the big rims and tires on it
Do you know of any kinda price range I'm looking at for getting the lift off?
Thank You Again

Tylor, take the truck to a mechanic that knows 4 wheel drive trucks. There could be so many problems with this truck that it would be difficult for the everyday person to spot even the obvious ones. Are you mechanically inclined? Because with a truck this old you stand a good chance of working on it more than driving it.
Not trying to rain on your parade, but I have 'been there and done that'. Consider that parts may be a problem.
And is the truck a 4 or a 6 banger? If a 4 cylinder then those over-sized whells need to come off.
If you have the 'Hots' for this truck , try to wait awhile to cool down. You will make better choices then.
Good luck

Thank you for your wisdom bogey - you're right and I have decided to keep looking
This truck just got my attention because it has 56,000 miles - but it has sat for 5 years and the guy just started running it here recently
I'm gonna keep my eyes peeled for something a little newer :emoticon:
Thank You For Everything
