Just got my RWS 350 back from Umarex. The service was fantastic! Kudoes to those folks for a quick turn around on the gun. They called me and told me the problem and what they did to fix it. Then they sent me a copy of their test target showing the group. I was able to almost replicate the group with open sights shooting off my deck. I am very happy with them!

thats great that u could depend on them u r on time cause sometimes companies has to send for parts and its a long wait for the part .i have had a rifle in a shop for going on three months but its worth it cause he is makin it brand new is the part thats takin long not the repair person .umarex is good with parts cause im waiting for a part that i will install my self but they r excellent to deal with .u seem very content thats cool ,im very happy for u ....from jorge lopez nys....

They had to shim something. Now it is right on accurate like it was when it was new. Looks like they may have adjusted the trigger too, but I might be imaging that since I haven't shot it in a long time.

Man it is a 1000% better than it was when I sent it! I was grouping well at every range. After I finished cutting some wood, I put my Gamo Squirrel out there at 35 yards and knocked it down five times in a row. I'll shoot it for a bit and send it to Gene to smooth out the cocking. I don't trust myself to lubricate it properly.

Man I just looked at the Umarex site for first and probably last time,what's up with the sky high prices? RWS 350 magnum $463.00. I see em everywhere else for $350 to $399. No pun intended,I hope they have good service cause your paying for it. AKJC1977

I think they have a refurb one for around $300. Sometimes you can find them used for a fraction of the price. There is also a clone of the 350 you can get from Mike Melick. Since it is mostly a hunting gun, a clone is probably a better idea anyway. They look so nice you really don't want to take it into the woods :) Spend half the money and then you will feel like it (maybe since they seem to look identical).

Umarex USA has such high prices because they're the importer and distributor of RWS rifles in the United States. Being such, they could easily undercut everyone else, but instead they keep their own direct prices high so as to encourage people to buy from the businesses that they distribute to. It's a sort of a non-compete thingy.
Or something like that. I think that's how it works.

I won't be the last one to say that at 350 is NOT an easy gun to shoot. It is big, heavy and powerful. I just wouldn't use it for my casual plinking though I do like shooting it to destroy cans, fruit, chalk, etc. :)
It makes my left arm sore if I shoot it a lot. When I just want to plink and plink, I grab my Whisper since my neighbors can't hear it as much. Honestly, I think if I had to do it again, I'd by a clone of the 350; especially one that has already been looked at by Mike Melick, and just had a great hunting gun.
I really enjoyed having it for my Prarie dog shoot in Kansas. I wish I had had more time to practice with it or got it tuned before I went out there. I'm pretty sure whatever happened to the gun happened on day four of my hunt since I didn't hit anything after that and I was having trouble shooting at targets as well. I was doing well until day four, after that it was junk!

Oh I wondered if there was a hidden agenda. Cause I hear so much talk bout Umarex,yet who would throw money away just to say I got it at Umarex? Makes sense.AKJC1977

Today I got some new mounts and put a brand new scope on the rifle. At first I couldn't get it to zero, but after some screws being tightened it was a lot better. I still think I'm going to send it off for a tune. I'm just not that confident that its problems are over.
