While I'm out of work with my back problems I've been trying to help out the wife around the house and such. Well today we needed quite a few things from the supermarket, eggs, milk, bread, ya know the usual stuff, so I went food shopping. Anyway,,,,,, I bought all the things we needed for the week to stock the refrigerator and when the checkout clerk told me the total came to $153.12 I was in shock. I bought quite a bit of stuff, and I admit I did buy some treats for me that probably were not worth the money they charge for them, but $153.12 ????? I charged it on my credit card, like we always do at the supermarket and headed home happy in the knowledge that we once again had a stocked refrigerator and food for the week . Then it hit me..............
Here I just charged $153 bucks for food and the wife isn't going to get mad at me, she'll actually be glad that I did the shopping to help her out, but if she found out I charged $153 for another air rifle she'd get madder n hell at me. Something about this just doesn't seem fair. I mean food is important of course, but if I buy another air rifle I can use it to provide food for me and my family right??? Besides, you spend money for food and it just disappears. You spend money on an air rifle and you have it your whole life if you take care of it. You can even hand it down to your children. Food doesn't appreciate in value,,,, air rifles can. Food rots and decays after the shelf life is over,,,, an air rifle just gets a little dusty but it still shoots once you wipe the dust off.
Anyway, that's the thought that popped into my head during the ride home so I had to post it. PLease forgive me if it appears that I rambled on. :)

I agree with you bud and I'm lucky that the little lady eat's what I harvest, EXCEPT the bushytail's. She think's their cute until they start tearing up her feeder's and who does she call,me. I think their great too, on my dinner plate. If you tried to explain this to them, you'll get a better response from the bushytail. What can we do? I got it , buy more air rifles.! :) Ed

ribbonstone has it right, we think with different "brains".
Looks like you have been around Ed too long, and boy has it rubbed off.
I have had to run everything through my brain, (the big one), twice or more often, for 50 years.
I needed to convert my thoughts to standard woman, then, (at a certain time of the mounth), to difficult woman.
Sometimes I had to convert my thoughts to mad woman. All this necessary due to the rapidly changing condition within a womens mind, and not needing the difficulty communicating with the threat of "SEXUAL HARASSMENT".
Now if you follow a womens way of thinking, if you want, they need, if you have, they really need, until at some point she will go into overdrive !
I anyone requires additional advice, please call me.

I know what you guys are going through and sympathise but I gotta tell you this. Less that 30 mins ago I told my Chrissy (Chrissyian on here) that I just bought 2 MORE QB78's and she said good!
She is a techie (EX Royal Air Force aircraft mechanic), loves swimming, shooting, does not drink (she always drives after parties) hell it even saved me £75 on the insurance on my BMW by putting her on it. She fits her own mains plugs, does her own computer upgrades and rebuilds, She can even weld! There are other attributes i will not share with you!
nearly 4 years for us now and not even one arguement. I think I just got lucky this time, and so glad I did

Instead of these world famous genetic scientists cloning sheep and goats and chickens they should spend their time and efforts cloning women like that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Must admit my wife IS pretty great also, my best friend and all the wonderful thing's that go with it.Heck look what she has to put up with hehe. Ed

When we were young boys. Our mothers would give us baths in the tub. Most of us at one time or another asked our mothers if those two round balls hanging between our legs were our brains.. Mother told us..... NOT YET SON.... :)

Ah! Gene, now I understand what you mean ;) Well according to a scientific report I read some time ago the problem is due to a lack of blood in the male body. When the blood is required for other things it causes oxygen starvation in the male brain! lol

My wife does not mind the money spent as much as the rifles in the house.... this means I need a Shadow type hangout.
this will keep the guns out of the house and provide a "spot" for us to hang out in..... I'll have to work on it, but this is where
I'm heading. :)

Roald, us guy's need our space too cause if you really look around the house atleast mine, it's hers. Closet 90% her stuff, Bathroom 80% her stuff, Bedroom another 80%. I gotta stop because a pattern is forming here hehe. To put it best, I'm just a livein guest hehe.THE SHOP, that's 110% mine, my cave , my castle and my airgun kingdom. 8) Ed

My kingdom is the 1/2 of the basement that I walled off and made my workshop. Everything in there is mine,,,,, although I must admit it's gettin a little cramped. Every other space in the house is filled with the wifes stuff or the kids stuff.

Hold firm to your space fellow's, The ladies are alway's looking for new closet space. There's two key's to my shop, I've got one and I've got one hehe. Ed

And that is why I built a garage... :) I got 1/3 of the walkin closet and that is it, besides 1/3 of my side of the bed... lol
