Looks like Gamo upped the cocking effort on the new SOCOM EXTREME Springer. Now 60 ft/lbsof cocking effort..
Also they will be making a smaller version of the SOCOM which has only 30 ft/lbs of cocking effort.
Both with similar stocks but just different sizes. I would bet Both are the same powerplants as the Gamo's original Shadow 1000 and the Gamo Hunter Exteme 1250 Hurricane.

I've been eyeballing those since they came out brother and love that Extreme stock. I was hoping that they would start selling the stock's and it would be the same mounting design for the action as my 1250. I could then set the 1250 up for winter hunting with a winter camo. :) Ed

Hmmm, I just got an email from PA about these new shooters as well as a sale on RWS rifles and a 10% coupon code. I think I'd snag that tactical version being as that it has the noise dampener. But that carbine seems to grab my attention more....*sigh*, well let's see how they perform before any grabbing begins =]

I would only want the Extreme in .22 and I think they just have it in .177. :0 I have no need for a Magnum springer in .177 when the .177's that I have now do the job just fine. :) Ed

I'm sure that GAMO would introduce their new line in .22....it's either these Socoms or the Royals. Both are new to me, so yeah.... =]
Also I think 60lbs or cocking effort is a bit much huh, I mean that'd be pretty dangerous of one would accidentally let go of the barrel while cocking....unless GAMO has a new safety precaution in place.

My Extreme 1250.22 Royal has 56lbs cocking effort, it is a workout hehe. Ed

I really like the Carbine.

SIXTY pounds of cocking effort! Wow! How do they shoot? Surely they are mostly for hunting.
