Ok I have  a Gamo Hunter 220 and I loaned it to my neighbor for some squirrel control.  I am now finding after the fact of course he left it cocked the whole time (2 days).  It was/is a stock shooter so do you feel the spring was permanently weakened?  If that is the case, I think I am going to send it to Gene and get a tune and a muzzle break!  If he is willing to take her?  Let me know what ya think!  Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place The Shop or Gamo Gate did not know.

Here's an article from the library on spring compression:

It's a good read -- two days -- you should be fine. Keep shooting.

After 2 Days you probably haven't  lost much, about 100 fps and it will make it shoot smoother. If you enjoy it keep shooting until you have bigger problems.

Thanks I am feeling better about that.  Do to all this though I was looking at James Maccari's page and trying to find a new spring.  I did not see one available there where else could one be purchased?

I have a Gamo Hunter  220 and I replaced the spring with a JM E9870 ( it's near the bottom of the page) about 2000 shots ago and it's working great

I have found it, by chance did you see the need for the spacers on this spring?  I am going to place an order for the JME9870 spring and the Apex seal APV65798 along with the lube package.  I am not placing the order till the first of the week so if you get a chance let me know.  Thanks once again!       ......I also ordered the GRT-III trigger from Charlie tha Tuna the first of this week!

No spacers. With RWS Hobby pellets 7.0g it corneys at about 960 fps. I didn't look at JM site but I recall using a small apex seal that was for Gamo or had the word Gamo somewhere in the description.
