Fired a few different name brands, weights & shapes of pellets out of the Straight Shooter's Sampler Pack for group. Got a good 25yd group with 1 brand, so I sat in the backyard and waited. Wasn't long and a male chased a female across the fence from the neighbors yard.
They ran around in their mating ritual and 1 came to a halt facing up the tree, on my side. The Viper knocked him off the tree and the other squirrel played hide-n-seek for a few minutes and showed herself. Viper spit again and she came off the tree.
I went to pick them up and found the male still alive with a body shot a little low in the lungs. Going to group some Hollowpoints and see what they'll do, tomorrow if the wind lays low. Low pressure coming, so they ought to be in their usual feed'n-frenzy.

Would you believe I left 2 in another tree? Finished cleaning the squirrels, washed and dried the knife & shears and looked in the tree down near the fence. There they were feeding ahead of the approaching low pressure. I'll wait for them tomorrow, after I group some Hollowpoints at 25yds which is about the distance across the backyard to the fence.
Look about 1/2 way up the center of the pic and he's sitting upright with tail draped across another limb. Come right until you enter the pineneedles and look up just below the top of pine; He's sitting upright with tail hanging....

Well done... again LOL you're sure putting a dent in the squirrel population
down there! All I get around here are Sparrows and Starlings.
Over here in Texas around my home they are pretty scarce.... you sure
that you never lived up here at some point??
Nice pics, keep them coming

Congratulations. Wish I lived somewhere I could hunt in my backyard.
