I have a TF89 that I am going through a complete customization on. I've been looking at different rifles all week on the Classifieds here. I bought an RWS350...I told myself 'for comparison and learning'. I have 6 other rifles I don't have the time to shoot. I just went and bought a Walther Force 1000 because I got a great deal on it. I don't need it. I made myself the excuse that it would be my first tuner -- that I'd customize it all on my own.
I see a bunch of other people get the same bug...I wonder if there are any who beat it?
Right now I'm telling myself I'll never buy another gun... hahahahaha

You can't quit buying rifles now. No collection is complete without a few Weihrauchs. The addiction must thrive.

she is back in school now and because of that she is working 2 days a week less
so now my spnding has become limited
plus i have 2 lil boys

My friend it is too late for you! The good thing is the addiction isn't usually fatal!
For me airguns are like eating potato chips, you can't have just one!

it all depends on what u can afford cause we say that we cant afford to spend 600 or 700 hundred on a rifle buy if u buy two inexpensive rifles is like buying one expensive one thats why some of us have more than we r suppose to have.2 for 1 sale thats how the addictive mind works which we all have in us ...jorge

Regretfully, I have some money to spend...which is why I'm going to spend a while creating a custom gun. I thought that would satisfy my buying urge for a while. As soon as I had the plans in place and the vendors aligned, the urge came back. I set some goals to only take incredibly good deals. Walther Force 1000 for $64?? Oy!

next gun to buy next week lol (gamo whisperer .22 cal with gas ram)i have a sickness 4 guns in over 5 weeks :p

luckily something tuned Gamo off my radar or I'd have many more reasons to buy... No, I will not reconsider.

Before anyone starts with any sympathy, I may have been hoping this would happen for a while. But I think I found a cure for buying-itis. I'd worked myself to a point where I decided every gun had to have a reason and be different from the rest, which didn't work too well, then I made a list of 12 guns/types I was allowed to have... THEN just last week I got fired. Now I decided to appreciate what I have.
Now don't go thinking it is bad. 1) I have some guns I really like, and 2) I've been working at a home business AND working full-time for about 15 years. I have income, I'll fill in with unemployment for a time, and I'll use the rest of that time to build up the parts of my business I know will fly. I'll have more opportunity to shoot and take shooting breaks, and I'll not be buying much but parts and will finally get to the projects I planned (I have at least 3 project guns). I plan to start my new business attitude as of Monday morning, and my guess is that instead of doing what I've been doing to make money for my employers over the years, I'll turn the corner and make it for myself. It is like I had a premonition, as I set up my NYS Tax ID and Federal Employer Number in January, took a vacation 2 weeks ago, and am pretty optimistic about pulling it off. I won't be buying MORE guns for a while, that being the only difference.
It often takes some people a long time to see the silver lining. I think mine is gold!

I've bought 3 since Christmas myself, but I sold two as well. The first year or so I was into this hobby I would get a visit from Brown Santa every week or two. Just accept that this is the norm and you will feel better:)
