: Anyone Seen the latest Report and Video on the Evanix Blizzard S10 by Evanix

I saw it yesterday and boy what a nice shooter it is. Paul really captures the strong points in his Report. I love the style and size of the Blizzard.I was impressed by the accuracy and the power the Blizzard has.

Actually last spring I had a chance to see the Blizzard in action here at my house. Joe Joe brought his new Blizzard with him and was picking off daisys at 30 and 40 yards with it. And he was standing and shooting it off my back deck..:) Some of you may recall my initial report.

I think for the price and performance this is another option for hunters and just target shooting. Here is the link. Take a look at what the Blizzard can do.

That's one sweet shooter !

Question: On the video the gun sounds LOUD, louder than my Disco. Are they really that loud ? I thought shrouded barrels were supposed to be very quiet.

The one I saw was shrouded and really not as loud as a stock Disco. But my ears are not as new as they once were either...:)

My Blizzard is very quiet. When I let friends shoot it and i stand back it sounds like a very quiet very crisp hand clap. By comparison to the Talon SS I just received a week back the talon is very loud. When shooting the Blizzard you only hear a ping and air hiss and then the pellet smacking the target. ihave been shooting at 50 yds and the26 gr pellet passes through a 3/4 pine board. it will embed in 3/4 plywood but not pass through. I have had problems with pellets in the clips sliding back and jamming on the receiver. So gar the only pellets that stay put in the clip are the 26 gr Sam yang and the new 25gr pellets from RWH?
This is definately a hammer A BIG ONE. I purchased from Pyramid air and my 10 for $10 test had 26 gr pellets 920 to 950 FPS. So far this is the most accurate and consistent gun I have owned.

Gene....I see you are also interested in a AR6....
The blizzard is a better all round gun than the AR
Sure the AR has power in abundance..but is VERY loud
and has a limited shot count ..about 15 at full power..
Even after that is still has way more bite than most other
PCPs on a full charge...They are quite heavy....

The Blizzard is a copy of the Career Infinity..
"so I have been told ?"..They do have the same specs,

I think you would be happyer with a blizzard than a AR6..

I just sold my last AR...Only got the Career Infinity at the moment..
Trying to figger out what PCP to get next...lower powered with a VERY
high shot count....Styer..if only...

I bought a used one through the classified on this site. Beautiful rifle that shoots better than I do. A trip to a friend place in North Dakota had me go through three tins of pellets nailing blackbirds in the sunflower fields. A lot of shooting and much success. Longest kill was at 140 yards(within a couple each way.. rangefinding on sunflower heads is difficult) with most being within 50 yards. I did miss a number as the range got longer. North Dakota does have some wind at times.

The rifle performed well. I used a pump and he had a tank setup he borrowed for my visit. Sure made it easy and I will be getting a tank and nitrogen in the future.

The rifle is very nice in use. The 10 shot clip works well and I had no problems loading or using them. The blackbirds seemed to get used to the 'ting' sound as I shot and after a bit they weren't quite so skittish whick allowed me to hit more than one before they all took off and we had to move.

This has me wanting the FX Revolution so I will start saving the pocket change in anticipation of a future purchase.

I am glad I purchased this Blizzard. Beautiful stock and a hard hitting rifle that is easy to shoot. I did get to shoot his Diana model 48 that Charlie Da Tuna did a Turbo tune on. Nice rifle and shoots well. Worlds better than the Walther Falcon Hunter I was using before in handling and smoothness. I like the Walther but shoulder/tendon problems have pushed me to PCP rifles. Even pumping is easier than cocking the break barrel springers as I use the body rather than the arms for it. Nice having ten shots and the blizzard cocks so easily.

Can't find any negatives to it at all. Maybe after I get some exposure to Daystate and FX that will change but they will have to be really super fine to do it.

Zzyzx

Did you have any problems with the pellets sliding back and hanging on the breech block?

I had one slide back and when I cocked it got stuck when it smashed against where it rotates. Got it out and now make sure they are in well before I insert the magazine. Have not had the problem since. I watch for it in loading and all seems to be OK.

Went to a grain elevator this morning and while waiting for a friend delivering sunflowers I asked the operator about the pigeons flying around and landing on everything. He said they were really a nuisance so I asked... he said yes... and within 40 minutes there were 19 dead pigeons. Took me three magazines as I wasn't too steady during much of the first one. Next two I was braced and the feathered poopsters went down much more quickly as I was shooting better. 25-55 yards for them.

With all the grain elevators around as well as feedlots maybe this is a good way to get in some target practice?

Add this: Just be aware that this is my first PCP rifle. I have been shooting a Walther Falcon Hunter and a friends Diana Model 48. The Diana was turbo tuned by MrTuna. The Blizzard I have was purchased used on this forum. The guy was accurate in his description and the rifle is in excellent condition. Clean and working well. I like it. It shoots well and handles well. I have a Hill pump I use to fill it and am looking at Nitrogen tanks from a local supplier. Rent for a year and fills are not too much. Might save a lot of pumping which is fine by me even though it isn't difficult to fill.

I have Eun Jin pellets, JSB 18.1 grain pellets, Kodiaks and some JSB Jumbo(think that is it). Now I am trying to find which shoots the best for me.

As I said, I really like the rifle. The thumbhole stock is something new to me and it fits my hand well. Very comfortable and it does look good.

So, take into consideration this is my first PCP so I don't have the experience with others to make a comparison. My experience with springers is limited as well but the Blizzard is a major league pleasure to shoot, especially quick follow up shots, when compared to the springers I have tried.

Oh man, here we go again!Looks like my PCP addiction is rearing it's ugly head again. The Blizzard,or the Marauder? Decisions....Decisions.Gotta love em both.
: Gett em both- let your fingers do the testing

Get both of them,  then you can test them side by side, then use Pyramids return policy, or maybe by then you'll NEED both of them. LOL

When I first read about the Blizzard.....I said that could be my next PCP rifle.  Then Gene and Joe Cuz tested one out.....and I'm hooked.  If I get another PCP it's going to be the Marauder or the Blizzard.

We have not had any cold weather to speak of but in shooting it at 15 degrees(farenheit) I have found it still works well. Nothing makes odd noises and there is no apparent change in performance. The rifle feels good and handles well in the cold. Will find out about hot weather next summer when I am in Death Valley. Will make sure to take time to shoot it and pump it there in 110 degree and above temperatures. Hand pump will be with me so I can see how all works as I am helping a few friends with their cattle and fence mending in the Owens Valley before backpacking in the High Sierra country.

I really like the handling of the rifle. Having some extra magazines makes it easy to shoot without interruptions. Now I need to make a small magazine holder for them.

All I can say is; you'll SWEAT while pumping up your PCP in 110F temps.  It'll be interesting to see how the PCP's and the pump would work in well-below sea level conditions.
