Been looking at several Leapers scopes, and some people are selling them for good prices used. But the website says only available for orignal buyer. How do they determine who the original buyer is?
-
The Original Buyer is the person that sends in the Warranty Card !
If you do not get the Warranty card, you are not covered.

Sounds simple to me. I know what to look for now.

Warranty is not all that bad , even if your not the original owner they should cover it,. I've had a few dealings with them, last was a 6x32 bugbuster that wouldnt keep a poa. they charged me 15 bucks , guess to help defay the cost of return shipping, but what I got back was a brand new scope. only difference was the dots were the newer larger one compared to the smaller dot that was in the scope I sent them.
fyi, I dont recall them ever asking if I were the original owner.

I found a 4-16x56 that I really want, but the warranty is kinda a deal breaker. No reason to save $40 if I can't get it fixed

I had to return a 3-9x50AO about 8mths ago and I dealt with..I think name was John Pan at leapers. What great experience, they seem very much into looking after the customer and there name...sent me a brand new one no questions:) Tony

(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif)I had two Leapers scope that went bad, one the hex key adjustment stripped out, and the other, shifting POA....customer service asked what was wrong with scope and wanted copies of sales receipt. They sent me brand new scopes with one $10.00 fee for handling. The other was a free ride....Bill(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif)

Found one on TAG for $110, but he already sent the warranty card in, and one on the yellow for $145 without a warranty card.
