Good find...That ought to go quick!
-
I hope so. It like to gave me pangs to pass on it. I also passed on a like new stock Big Cat posted in the local Craigs for $70. Jut can't use it. Ooooooo, it HURTS to pass on deals like these!!!!
-
I sent an email out to him..just an incredible deal I couldn't pass on. I've been wanting to try my hand at tuning a springer, so this is the one. Big plus is that it comes with a GRT already!
-
If you miss that one, hop on over to the Yellow. There's a used Varmint for $90. When it rains, etc.
-
Yes, I saw that and it was all I could muster to withstand the urge. This is a deal with the $32 gold trigger. I have been shooting mine more now and it is outshooting my TX200 at 10-15 yards. Serious one hole stuff. I used to shoot only CPHPs with it but am not finding that the CPLs might be a tad better.
Tune with a e3650 and a small Apex and you'll have a real shooter.

Andy!! Where you keepin all those shooters??? you must have a big basement!
I am in big trouble now 'til I get a gun rack put up!
-
I sure Like mine ? & gold trigger & Scope what a very good deal!
My Grandson came up today & we had a good time shootin/ all my guns ,He's is 12 & a good Dead eye shooter with the Big cat it was hard for him to cock it, & with all my air guns he shot 9's
or 10 !Wow he has not shot a springer before , but he liked the 1377 with stock a 1 holer for him , & I tried to keep up with his young very happy eyes.
Anyway Happy dealing on a good gun.
I know have you seen a string of guns like that ??
-
Yup, I have them all over the baesment. In secret closets my wife will never go in! I can keep 10 of my most frequent shooters in a fake closet I built to hide my breaker panel. I have a double bifold closet that hides the sump pit and water heater. I have targets set up in there so all I need to do is open both doors and I have a nice 10 yd range! The rest are hiden in a secret storage closet under the stairs. All the powder burners are in the utility/storage room. Yes you can say the basement has become the arsenal! LOL
I do sense a sale coming up though. I think the RWS320, TF57, Daisy 953, Avanti 753 and Career might be on the block soon. Not so sure about the Career but pretty confident about the others. Gots to make room for the next ones. Although I was thinking of aquiring more pistols because they take up less space! Hmm, maybe that's the plan?

So, anyone here snag it? (That will make up for the "bargain loss", a bit.
-
I still haven't gotten a reply..so I'm assuming it's gone..
-
Wes,
I got an email from Gene Ward yesterday at about noon EST and it hadn't sold. I'm sooo tempted. I love my BC and with a $32 trigger already on it and shipping included he's giving it away.

Hmmmmm...well, that's really interesting. I sent an email to him at around noon on the 14th and I still haven't heard back. I just now sent another for good measure. Wonder if he's not getting them for some reason? Oh well, we'll see. If you end up with it, I'll be happy for ya!

Wooohooo! I sent the money to him via PayPal just 5 minutes ago..

Congrats Wes...Glad someone on the GTA got that great deal.

Wes,
Good job. This morning I said he still had it and at about noon today I started to think about it and sent him an email saying "I'll take it". It was just too good a deal to pass on. He answered back right away that he thought it was sold but I would be second in line. It appears that was you!
Great deal on a nice rifle. No they're not high end rifles but I tell you mine outshoots my TX! No kidding honest! Like you the BC was my first tune. I learned a lot and I was thinking I'd like to do it again (and do it righ this time). I used a JM e3650, CDT trigger and Apex small seal. AWESOME is all I can say. I have a couple Tarantula springs here and thought I'd try one of those on the BC. Guess I'll have to jump next time.
Please let us know how it goes. Feel good that you got an awesome deal. The way I look at it you paid about $35 for the rifle after you figure $32 for the trigger and $18 for shipping!

P.S. It is still abnormally warm here in MI so I went out and shot these 5 shot groups. The one on the left are CPHPs and the right CPLs at 15 yds off hand. Not my best but you can see what she's capable of. I have somewhere here a 20 yard grouping of the TX beside the BC. BC won! I'll post if I find it.
-
Wow, those are some great groups! As soon as I sent him the payment for the Big Cat, I hopped on over to Maccari's site and placed an order for a lube kit, small Apex, and the e3650. I didn't really consider the Tarantula because I didn't want to jeopardize accuracy with a beefy spring. However, I would be really interested in finding out what your results are when you get around to it. Did you check out the Varmint Hunter on the yellow? It's only $90 with a GRTIII and I think it's still available.

Wes,
Good move. My velocity dropped to 820-840 with CPHPs but it really smoothed out. I think this is optimum for the BC.
-
Oh for reference I am in the process of sorting out a chopped Quest that I dropped a Tarantula into. It was shooting CPHs at 1150! Yikes! CPHs dropped down to 880 fps!

andy, is the e3650 the same as the tarantula spring you mentioned on the yellow ? i seem to recall it was upwards of 1050fps with your tune,.........
