Got a double yesterday morning, first shot 17 yds, 2nd 20 yds. one was a one shot kill, between the shoulder blades. Second was a two hit, one in vitals, second a finish in the neck. Fisrt shot went clean through, since right side was facing me at all times.

Neat pic, but I had to copy & paste to see it (might be my browser).
On the one you got between the shoulder blades, did the pellet come out the front?
What gun and cal?
Good shooting,
Paul

No, it actually stayed in, there wasnt a drop of blood, very weird, i had that happen a couple of time with my crossman when i used silver arrows. This is a .177 with predators.

Hehe, Gene, I can smell a fresh kill buddy and it lead me to the Hunting Gate.Great shootin Matt and welcome to GTA. If you were looking for the best airgun site around, you found it, at least that's my opinion hehe. I'm one of the hunter's here among some other great hunter's, Jeff look at these tree rat's.! Again great shot and check out our hunting gate, a lot of great pic's. By the way we are addicted to air gun's so look out.;) Ed

Which Crosman?

it is the 1077 model, i boguh these predators about a year ago, and they have just been sitting around, unable to be used. So i bought the CFX looking for a gun non-co2 (its was getting on my nerves) and returned it, becuase i didnt like it. Got dick's to come down 30 bucks on the viper to meet the CFX for customer satisfaction. Being a salesman can come in handy.

Yeah, the reason I asked is I've got a R7 (similar power) and a shot like that at 17 yards distance comes out the front on chipmunks (JSB 4.52's). I was a little leery to try it on squirrels, as compared to the chippers around here the grey squirrels are HUGE. I'm at the point now (after 3000 rounds) that from a makeshift rest I'm confident enough to regularly Booth a penny at that distance. I'd get a lot more opportunities if I could count on lungers. I guess I'll just have to wait for the QB.
