Boy is this dumb most military  guns  will not let the bolt close on a empty chamber so you don't end up trying to shoot at someone with an empty gun, also bad guys will not go for any gun  with a GPS system that will pin point where they are, makes to easy for the police to find them. Whats the matter you can't count my garand held 8 rounds is that hard to remember ?? Howie

Awww crap... I can see Kommiefornia trying to push this on ALL guns in the near future.

Be prepared for ANY new pistol purchase to be in the $3000 dollar minimum range.

This is not about the military, - but a GPS built into new guns after a "certain date" could well become law - down the road.
It's built into cars & trucks already, ...

New technology has been used in any number of items for years & years, - and the firearms industry is constantly trying to make things safer & better too. We've already seen a LOT of new stuff, night vision, range finders etc., etc. ... "Smart guns" in one form or another are a given - it's NOT aimed at someone's old blunderbuss. - While I'm a VERY strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment, I can also see why police et al in cities are tired of seeing shoot-outs every night. Folks living outside those areas shouldn't have a right taken away, because of morons in our larger cities, - but some way should be found to "knock this bs off" .... and technology, not new laws, will supply the answer.
