It looks good Timmy.
It will take a lot of practice to get it right, but we have faith in you.
Don't forget to get at least a couple hours sleep each night, LOL.
Cheers, David.

Looking good Timmy! You'll be making those great stocks in no time!
-
Tim,
Nice dowel you made! Just kidding. I'm fascinated by the duplicator. I can see what you mean about having more fun than you should be allowed. You still have you clothes on right? LOL

Keep after it, Timmy. The trick will be getting proficient enough to not only have fun doing what you obviously love, but also make some money while you are doing it. We have confidence you will be successful! Now get back to work!

very impressive timmy let me know when you can make me a stock

Wow..you'll be able to replicate stocks in no time. I see that it even replicated the ding from your master stock!!!

I just may need to make a run to Charleston just to see how that thing works. I'll bet making a few wood chips and a little dust might be fun. Maybe I could make some round sticks for something...lol... Just keep on keepin' on Timmy.

Ya KNOW you are WELCOME any time Bob!!(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif)Slinnging sawdust from the machine is simple. It is the HOURS of setting up the blank & item to be duplicated that is tough. The machine can cut to very tight tolorances for sure. Ya better make sure you have your head & tail stock pcs EXACT,,,, otherwise you are getting ready to off center cut a $100 Walnut blank that will make REALLY nice firewood!!(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cry.gif)I think I am gonna have to find a machinest that can make me some headstock "Pads"!! LOL!! Tim.

Timmy:
I am neither a machinist nor a woodworker. But it seems to me that if you spent your hours of time on the first set up, copying a finished stock, then cut your first copy as a pattern, but leaving the tail of the stock and the end of the forestock unfinished, and squared off to the same dimension as the blank you started from then, you could quite easily load up the next blank, and after duplicating it from the pattern, hand finish both ends of the copy. It would sure make set up time quicker, if it isn't too difficult to finish off the ends of the duplicated stock the "old fashioned" way.

You are OH SO RIGHT Tommy!! Having been on the phone for hours with one of the ICONS of the industry,,,, it is called a "Master". Im working on a couple of masters right now!!(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif)FYI,,,, one is for the BSA Scorpion!!(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-innocent.gif)LOL!! Im focusing on Ambi adjustable riser cheek stocks for the most popular guns right now. Tim.
-
Timbo:
You know, of course, that any air rifle or powder burner I own would be available to you if you need to cut a few more "masters".
