hey ya'll , i recently picked up a bunch of bulk fill gear for ryans qb78 from a yellow forum member.
included in the deal were the bulk fill cap, micro hose, co2 bottles and a 3000psi 47in hpa bottle.
now.......im curious, as this is a regulated hpa bottle, what can be done in terms of modifying it as a daypack resevoir for my disco ? i seem to recall where someone had "deregulated" a similiar bottle that would allow for field filling their hpa rifle. ( autodeul maybe ? )
if ya'll have any ideas, im open to suggestions. thanks !

Well, I am guessing that it is not regulated to 3000psi, that's the pre-regulated pressure. You need to find out what pressure does the reg put out. You can change the regulator to a 2000psi one to fill your disco. Those regulators can be found at JDSAirman.com, experthpa.com, amd I believe Airhog sells them as well.
Good luck
Chris

A 2000 psi regulator is only $39 from experthpa. I'd go that route since it's foolproof and you don't risk overfilling the reservoir like you can with my setup. I'd do the same if they made 4500 -> 3000 psi regulators.

Jim,
For the fill adapter, use a short or microbore hose to replace the coiled hose on a paintball remote adapter.
You'll lose less air when you disconnect. I'm not sure what pressure a slide check is rated for, but it would be useful for bleeding the air, so you don't have to wait or to unscrew the tank to bleed the pressure.

will do steve.
