I would suggest  trying  Kodiaks,  JSB  14.3 gr domes, JSB 18.1 gr domes and Beeman FTS.

No matter what pellets you decide on make sure you at least give the Kodiaks a try,,,,,, they are absolutely awesome and all of my .22's love them.  They are also a great hunting pellet.

I'm sure others will chime in with their suggestions but those are the ones I'd try.....

My Benjamin Discovery .22 shoots the Predator Polymags THE BEST. JSB Exacts shoot pretty good but nothing like the Predators. Air Arms Field pellets are fairly good as well.
I guess I got real lucky how my Disco likes Predators, since I do a lot of hunting. At 20 yards I can consistantly shoot 0.2200" 5 shot groups with the front of the gun rested and my elbows on the table.

You made a good choice of pellets to try. Like the ones you chose and what others recommended - I'd recommend JSB Exacts, Beeman Kodiaks, H&N pellets, and I'd maybe even give the Air Arms Field pellets a try.
Good Luck!

Brian

Top 2 pics are of 5 shot groups at 20 yards. Last pic is a 3 shot group at 70 yards.

My Disco likes the "H and N" Baracuda Match in 21.14 gr.  It seems the heavier the pellet to better it shoots stright.  I do not shoot strings of 3 or 5 rounds.  I shoot strings of ONE shot.  Did I hit the realistic target at a realistic distance to get the kill?  That is what I really want to know. One shot will tell me that info.

I also run every round I shoot thru a 7/32 hole drilled into 1/4 inch steel plate.  This make the pellet perfectly round.  That oblong pellet skirt will sent that pellet I DON'T KNOW WHERE.  I has to be perfectly round.  Make it that way.

My .22 Disco like CPHP but I haven't tried too many others.

Until this last one, I'd have said: JSB's, Kodiaks, SuperDome, and give the Crosman CP's a try.

But this last Disco has rerfused to shoot anything well except RWS H-points, RWS Match WC, H&N MAtch WC.

Which just goes to show that every rifle is going to shoot whatever it wants to shoot, no matter how much you'd like to to shoot soemthing else.

Check Airguns of Arizona and see if they still have pellet samplers.

Am a believer in using several 5-shot groups (in this case at 20yards) to tell me what pellets it likes and what pellets it doesn’t like.

So for the time being, I gave up fighting with it, and am feeding it what it tells me it wants.

That rifle certainly does like the RWS SHP's  !!    Very nice groups indeed..

I've found those to be excellent small game pellets, especially when they group like that  :)

kodiaks rule .
: Time for another long test this afternoon...
: ribbonstone December 22, 2009, 11:29:54 AM
..checking the odd-ball pellets that had been skipped over in previous testing.  Kodiaks, JSB's, Crow Mags, Gamo Hunter, Gamo Match, Peak... four 5-shot groups for each (which works out to 140 shots...and was shooting only in the sweet spot, so lots of refilling).

This is one picky rifle barrel... some came within 20%, but nothing really close to the H-points in this rifle (so far).  Not real pleased about that, even if it shot Kodiaks...or JSB's... or CP's... or whatever .... only having one or two pellet types that shoot well is not a plus for ANY rifle; having one is worse.

well the disco is a pretty forgiving gun and shoots most brands wel. but dont start about gamo's. i have used a wide variety of pellets with good results but not gamo's. am getting a stash of jsb exacts and crowmagnums to try out.

I got my pellets in and it loves jsb jumbo heavies 18 grain. It also loves the jsb exact15 grains. They shoot equally well, I got 2 tins of hn baracuda 21 grains but they don't shhot as weel as the others. But there still better than the cphp's

Mine likes 14.3 JSB.

Every barrel seems to have pellets it likes or dislikes, and no matter how welll thought of a certain pellet, the barrel has the final say-so.

My barrel is a hard headed SOB.

So I gave up fighting with it, sighted in 1/2" high at 20yards, and just feed it what it tells me it wants (H-points).

JSB Exact 14.3 gr hands down. I can shoot a pebble at 35 yards consistently with those pellets.
