Are you sitting down?...I had to!..
I have been getting phone calls for the last few days
"missing them"...The number was coming up as 00-00
on the caller ID...
I got it this morrning...There was a girl on the other end
with a yank acsent....She said am I talking to peter xx
Then she said I'm from Florida Resort Holidays...
And told me I had WON a Hoiliday in Florida...
thinking to myself...scaming *_*_*_*_*_*s ...
(When are they going to ask for my credit card number)
It turns out that I renewed my Visa card a while back
I entered in a draw for a holiday at the same time..
Can't remember that...
After about a hour on the phone and being transfered to 4 people..
Then I got a call from Visa to verifi I was who I said I was...
The only card number I gave was for my Visa debit card..
So if it was a scam ... theres no credit limit on that card...
I have for internet.....Only load it just before I use it..
The trip is as...
7d/6n Orlando.
3d/2n Fort lauderdale.
4d/3n Bahama cruise..."Carnival cruise line"
to be taken any time in the next 18months
For up to 4 people...
The only catch is....I have to get myself to and from the US
dosn't cover air fares
Just got a e-mail from them with all web sites
Ph numbers etc...They said undated tickets will arrive in the next 14 days..
So its either all above board or a really well done scam..
Sound to good to be true...

Well Pete, look on the bright side. If it is a scam and you find yourself stuck in Florida, you can always look up a few GTA members for help. I am sure they would be glad to put you up for awhile. And when you visit all the Florida members then you could move onto the members in Georgia, and Alabama, and South Carolina etc..etc.
Hope your offer works out for you. And as you said, " It sounds to good to be true."

Check it out with Visa. If it flies, I guess you are good to go, although that's a long ways to pay yourself. These things do happen. Hope it works out!

Sounds like they are trying to sell you an airfare from NZ to Florida plus meals, still a good deal if you had the time I think. There are some sort of scammy things around here that make you sit in a seminar to sell time share deals and give you a free car, yours doesn't sound that way but I would still be suspisous..If you get the ticket in "certain day and time windows" you could get hear and back for about $700 bucks each way, ive done that before:). You could forget the cruise and do a week of airgunning in the south:) I know it would be fun to have you visit, you would never be stranded ion this area:). maybe the wives could do the cruise and we could really do what ever we like hmm. Hope your new years was a good one I think its already next year for you now,Tony.
