: RWS 350 and heavy pellets?
: Zzyzx January 02, 2010, 03:33:24 AM
Am getting an RWS 350. Will have it modified or turbo tuned some time after getting it. In reading on Mr. Tunas site I find I shouldn't shoot heavy pellets in an air rifle as it isn't good for the spring.

Is that true of this magnum powered rifle? If it shoots a heavier pellet accurately should I still stay away from the heavier ones for the sake of spring life with a rifle like this? (.177 cal)

too heavy or too light may cause damage to the spring unless ur on co2,compressed air or gas ram then ur good to go if im not mistaken its cool too use heavies on a gas spring gun im sure others will chime in  :emoticon:

Yes heavy pellets may caues early spring failure in most all AG's but the 350's an 460's were designed to shoot the heavy pellets. All springs will fail sooner or later anyway so enjoy your gun, springs are a part of maintenance on AG's, if heavy pellets shoot good out of your AG shoot them! you didn't buy it just to look at it did ya? Springs dont cost that much and thier not that hard to put in!

Yes those weight pellets are perfectly suited to that power plant

If you want to go heavier and stay on the safe side, the looser diamatered JSB Exact Heavy's (10.2's) fit great in my 350 clone and may be the ticket for your Diana. So if the Kodiaks, RWS SM's, and H&N's fit tight, try the JSB's. They give mine a nice healthy 'pop', and slap what they hit pretty dang hard!!!!Accuracy,....on par with the rest of the JSB line of pellets!! tjk

My tuned 350 is most accurate with around the 13 to 16gr  weights so heavier or lighter doesnt matter as they are not accurate enoughfor me:)
