Curious what everyone on here dose to fund there addiction?? And if your retired and would like to share what you did before you retired that would be fun to :)
Im a bartender at a local bar in town while I finish up my associates degree in computer networking. So thats my lil story, not uber glamorius but it pays the bills and let s me get toys from time to time.

Well, Jason, I'm an ASE Certified Master Auto Technician with additional certifications for Diagnostics and Heavy Truck. I work for a family owned chain of 26 auto repair shops and specialize in headaches( computer driveability problems), but do all kinds of auto and light truck repairs as they come in. It's a pain as I work Saturdays (seems to be a big city afflicition), but like you, it pays the bills.

I work construction in one of those places people go to to get away from their daily grind. Mostly high end second homes, logs, timberframes, that sort of thing. I'm primarily a finish guy and cabinet maker, but I've done my share of framing and concrete, and still do, if needed. I'm what used to be called a jack of all trades. Luckily for me, I found the perfect company for my skills a couple of years ago. Being able to pay the bills is great, but loving your job and the people you work for makes it something special.

I'm an IT consultant, working for a software company, that basically pimps me out to other corporate companies, that don't know how to do their job.
But to pay for my airgun addiction, and to have some extra spending money, I created http://www.stokstyf.co.za , where I make some money from ads, and I sell stuff here... http://www.all-about-airguns.co.za

I am a life safety systems inspector. Mostly fire systems, some security and cctv. I work in many locations including banks, schools, hospitals, large office buildings, prisons, jails, police facilities, and many manufacturing facilities. Work is pretty much the same everywhere I go, but I get to see some really interesting places and meet some really interesting people. 3 years and 8 months from now, I will be retiring. My pellet costs will rise sharply.

I'm retired so I don't do anything. Before that I..... hmmm..I forgot ... must not have been much :D :D :D

Retired too....was a high school teacher (urban area public high school...war zone stuff).
Retirement didn't sit well with me. When back to college (you'd think you'd get immunity with your first exposure....like mumps....evidenlty not) and learned X-ray.
Katrina did me in...total loss, just what me and my wife could fit into two cars....but bought a new house (OK...am buying...a house note again) and am working at one of the local hospitals doing the ER's and OR's fluro work and general x-ray.

I volunteer, teaching vets computers, and a few programming, at the local VA hospital, consulting and some installing for non-profits, and do custom programming and special machines once in a while if I feel like it. It's not exciting.
Retired, couple of degrees that are worthless now, and I write tech and pop techstuff, and now SF. Maybe it will sell.
I shoot airguns to get away from it all. My wife is not all that happy with this, but she has her garden. :) :) :)

I do apartment maintenance. lots of fun fix everything. never a dull moment!!
P.S. Ed thanks for your work with the Vets.

I'm a Facilities Manager. New the the Managment side of things though. Through the years I've been a Marine Corps Grunt, Navy Sailor, Maintenance Mechanic in Paper Mills, Steel Mills, Foundries etc... Also worked as an ASE certified Mechanic, welder & fab guy. This Facilities Manager job sucks. Not enough pay, too many hours and not enough "Creativity" needed. I need to go back to turnin wrenches!

I am a trailer mechanic, working for a company that builds gas trailers. Mainly CO2(kind of a wonder I dont own any CO2 guns huh? Since I have an endless supply at work LOL) Nitrogen,NOS,Propane,Helium,Chlorine, and so on and so forth. I keep on thinking as I get older that a desk job doesnt sound too bad....

I am a nationally certified Surgical Technologist. That means I don't know $hit, but I have to know everything.
I work mainly with cardio-thoracic surgeons, but from one day to the next I could be helping with anything and everything that comes in the doors (yes we often take things out of people's butts). No I won't bore you with details.
When you come into the O.R., is it the R.N. who covers you r@$$? Is it the physician? The Anesthesiologist?
Well, yes and no; it is ultimately my @$$ that looks after you. I'm the one who confirms for the whole O.R. staff that yes in fact, you are the correct patient, yes we are working on the correct site and yes we are doing the correct procedure.
The only difference is: I am not a licensed medical provider... You can thank your closest R.N. for that.
It is my job to make sure that EVERYTHING the surgeon needs is ready at his fingertips while he looks in you.
It is also my job to make sure that, while he looks in you, he is looking in the right place and that he packs out what he packs in.
It is hard to explain exactly what it is I do, but you just need to be glad I'm there.

I work as a manufacturing associate for amajor computer company. What it really boils down to is I assemble computers for a living. My main job in the company is working as an auditor on the line.

Hello,
I'm disabled, but perform as many jobs as I can. I am a domestic engineer and security consultant. I do odd jobs on the side, I test pellets and test fire airguns, perform heating and plumbing jobs. I am an electrician, and a cabinet maker. A telephone answering service and a professional shopper. I am also a horticulturist and now a moderator of a fast growing, great place to be, internet forum, the GTA ! "AIN"T IT A GREAT PLACE TO BE"
Oh I almost forgot, Auto Repair Technician, Auto Preparation Technician, and pest exterminator ! But not nearly as good as our shooter, Ed ! (but i'll do since he's not around here!) 8) also Tax Accountant, Financial Consultant, and my list still grows !
And other duties deemed necessary by management, (the little lady !) :p
