: .50 cal Dragon Slayer, question.
: AK-one-shot January 10, 2010, 12:40:01 PM
I am thinking of buying a Career, .50 cal. Dragon Slayer.  I have not seen the rifle yet, but I'm told it needs a new barrel. Is $200 a fair price, and is the barrel easily changed? What else should I look for when I go see the gun on Tuesday?

Thank you.

The gun had been in the leaking trunk of a carall last summer and through this winter, and given (free) to the man who showed it to me. It was very corroded from a turned over battery in the trunk with it, and the loading lever could not be budged. The $200 price was not negotiable, as the gent had looked it up on line, and it was worth $600, so the $200 price was a bargain. I'm still looking.

Hi Pindog 2000,
Starting out knowing the barrel had to be replaced, it was worth looking at.  Some bargains just don't turn out to be bargains. Anything moisture and battery acid fumes could get to were probably ruined.
As you pointed out, it was not worth the hassle.    I'm starting to set aside money for the purchase a big bore air gun.
