Don't recall that myself bro but so much info as been posted here in the past about B3 tunes. I've dabbled in using modified Gamo spring's their longer, more coils etc. but honestly had the best result's using the stock spring's or the one's that come in the tune kit for the B's. Upgrades in piston seal's etc. will produce some positive results also. Ed

The B's are a great a shooter to tinker on bro, I've spent countless hour's, days, week's etc. etc. doing that. I have B's hanging on the rack's, in gun cabinet's etc. and their all fine little shooter's. Ed

I also  seem to remember reading about someone using a quest spring in a B-3.  If I remember it correctly I think the guy said it really gave the gun so "zip".  Personally though I agree with Ed (Shadow), I've had good results either using the stock spring or the ones that come in the QF-2  tune kit.  Shadow is also correct in that changing the leather seal over to a synthetic one really has a dramatic effect.   All this talk of B-3's has me thinking about ordering one just to have another one to play with  :)

I've used a Quest spring in a B3 and vise versa. They both measure out about the same. So close that if you held them next to eachother you couldn't tell the difference. The Quest spring is a little stiffer though. It DID give my B3  more uumph, but it got a bit more hold sensitive. With the leather seal, it took 2 tins of pellets before the excessive dieseling went away. Until then, velocity wasn't quite consistent. She was ALLOT better with a synthetic seal and the Quest spring.

There was someone else here that did it, but I believe he reported the South Summit spring in a Quest. Tests turned out near identical numbers between the Quest Spring and the QF2 Spring in a Quest.

well, with that said, think im gonna order a quest spring for #$%$ and giggles. ive got a b-3 i want to shorten a bit, aka 'carbine-ize and will go with a red-dot or bug-buster type scope. theres a local source who has b-3s in .22 for about $30 picked up. i figure at that price, i cant go wrong.

I think someone who went to the Shot Show reported that they aren't going to be making/selling the B-3 any longer. If you want a new one, best buy it now.
