Is the Air Venturi Halestorm a good PCP for the money? I am thinking about adding this to my air gun collection and was wondering if its a good addition. Also, will the Disco Pump fit the Halestorm or will I need a special adapter?
Thanks in advance for your patience and help for this first time poster.

I'm not sure about the pump question but i would imagine that a adapter would be necessary. I've seen a few video reviews of the Halestorm and it stacks pellets just like the disco or marauder and shoots a bit faster than the marauder as well. It is definitely a hunting PCP. I'd say check out Paul Capello's review on pyramyd air or this review

It looks like a great rifle. Good luck deciding.

Take one Hatsan AT44 put a wooden stock on it
and call it a Halestorm...
The AT44 a gun you don't hear anything about
If somethings crap you usealy hear some thing..

I had one for 3 weeks & sent it back. Very, very poor craftsmanship. Read my review of it on PA. Very cheaply made & very heavy. Lots of pot metal parts, crappy trigger even after modding it. It would make a great buy if it were $299.00. PA has them on sale this week for $375. I think it's over priced still.

Scott,
Do you suppose you might have gotten a lemon? I noticed your review when I was researching the gun on PA but the other four reviews were favorable. I don't put too much stock in the Pyramyd video reviews because they seem to be somewhat commercially driven. I do listen to guys like you and others that have had hands on experience with the gun. Thanks for your advice and I will certainly take your observation into account. I'm also looking at the Eun Jin Sumatra 2500 Carbine. It's a hundred off regular price and looks like a sweet hunting rifle. Any thoughts on that one as well?
Thanks again to you and the others who have helped, Larry

Gator, I had the Marauder, Career III 300, Discovery, Talon & Hammerli 850 Magnum to compare it to & it was below all of them. The accuracy was pretty good. The fit & finish was just not there. One of the reasons I returned it was because of the pot metal cast magazine being mis-cast & causing jamming. The glossy painted finish had nick & scratches. The barrel had nicks & very slight rust as a result. The remaining metal parts were uneven in finish. None of the parts matched in color, texture or craftsmanship. That's why I said if were $299 it would be a good deal fora drag it through the wood gun, but for a few bucks more you can get a very well made gun in the Marauder.

And for sale pricing right now you can get an Evanix Blizzard. More power than the Marauder and about the same price these days. Do some checking before you commit.
