This is so much smoother and no twang compared to my hunter sport. The butt is hollow. Is there any benefit to filling it?

Filling the hollow area will still dampen some of the vibration that the action produces when fired. Ed

I filled my BC's stock with rags to dampen the "twang" sound and to make it abit heavier.  Without the little extra weight....she was more hard to shoot off-hand.

I filled the stock on my shadow 1000 with Polyester Fiberfil for making pillows,real cheap from walmart. I put an old wash cloth in first to keep the fill from getting into the trigger area, then I packed in as much as I could with a wood dowel.  It made the gun much more quiet. snookman

I found a use for that pellet packing foam Pyramid sends when they ship them!!
