Well thats a shock....
Its that time of the year again...
IRB world sevens series...I know it may seem a bit strange
to you guys...A WORLD series with more than one country competeing...LOL
Any ways......You fellas just won the 2nd place final....
And yer kicked some big a$$es to get there....
even though yer ranked 16 in the world....
Pretty dam good....in fact
By the way the next tournament "No4" is in las Vegas..13/14 Feb
O yer we won the first 2...LOL
Don't wish to talk about this one........

Hey Kiwi, NZ to win the whole thing or do you think that England can put in the leg work and topple you? Strange to see USA doing so well at rugby! It seems to be catching on over there! :p
-
Well Wales won it last yer....so who the hell knows...
Fiji / South Africa / Austraila / New Zealand...
After the next 2 will have a better idea...
Your biggest prob with Rugby is your players start to late...
In most cases they don't see a rugby ball till they are at collage..
By that time/age our good players are playing at the top level .

Think the main problem in England is the youngsters see all these over payed footballers and want to follow them! I started playing rugby at about 12 years old when a football star had a day job as well to make ends meet, so you either enjoyed kicking footballs or getting stuck in a rugby! I had to stop most physical sports when I was 18 due to a bad back! Bit of a bummer really! :0

Well, second place is pretty good, I suppose . . .
Speaking of hijacking a thread . . .
Yep, we have the "World" Series, but we also have the "America's" Cup (but named after the boat, not the country). Whaddya think about Emirates Team NZ and BMW Oracle, kiwi? Racing starts on Feb 8th. Go Yanks!! Are you NZ folks still doing the red sock thing? It has been fairly embarrassing for both USA and NZ to have the Swiss win and then successfully defend the Americas Cup.

Big old multi-hulls (BOR) and cat's too. So much for tactics. This one is all about speed. Racing starts Feb 8th. How would you like a ride on one of those!

Don't follow it very closely, but from what I read, in this format, it seems that the most critical part is the last turn before crossing the starting line, because whichever boat crosses the starting line upwind and traveling the, fastest without being DQ'd usually wins. These boats squeeze about 25 nauts out of a 10 naut wind. Must be quite a ride.
