I want to change the composit stock on the Big Cat. Probably paint. No camo though...Im thinking about Shades of browns to simulate wood or maybe a high gloss black with a lot of clear. Not sure yet.

No camo then go for a wood effect with a stain type background and highlight with the wood grain lines throughout the stock.

Shadow, how did the snake camo job go? I was well impressed with the progress but never got to see the finished gun!
-
Gene loved it and it was a detailed project. Here's some pic's of the finished stock right before it was sent back to Gene.

Working on a camo design for my Disco stock, a design that will work spring summer and fall. Tans, lite browns and a little green here and there and I've been sketching out some stencil patterns. It should be splashing some color by spring. Ed

Look forward to seeing them later this year! :)

Im going with a black and tan concept. There are outlined grips on the stock. I will tape them off and keep them the stock color and go with a tan color over the rest. Not sure If a glossy finish would look nicer than a matte??
-
Keep us posted on your progress and post some pic's of your project. :) Ed

Here is not just nice but an art.

I painted it satin black and it looks good.....but I jit the tail and put a gray scratch on it already. I guess theres no real way to keep a painted stock from an ugly scratch. Its not like i can put 5 coats of clear on it because that would defeat the purpose of the satin finish. My 440 stock is on the way and this one to the trash can! :0

You could always use the MATTE clear, doesn't have the shine of a gloss clear. MATTE clear is what I use on my camo stock's. Ed
