: Is there a way to add some molly to the spring w/o removing?

If the stock is removed is there room to add some lube to the spring?

Moly goes only behind and top of the spring (top hat). spring tar goes on the outside coil of spring (sparingly). To do it right you need to start with a spring compressor to break her down.

What you are looking for is the infamous "slot tune". Do some searches on that. Quick and dirty but you will need spring tar, not moly.

Don't try to slide the lube in for a fix, break it down and do it right or send it off for a proper tune. Ed

No short-cuts here.   You can dump as much stuff through the slots as you can but it will serve you poorly.   As the other esteemed members have said, either break it down  and do it right  or send it off to be done.

And why do I know that it works poorly???    Once, a long time ago,  as a newbie,  I may have tried it to some degree or another.

Good luck.
