I have done alot of testing this weekend. Got a new chrono and shot 15 different pellets for groups then went out and shot them at long range for feild testing then it hit me, AVACADO PITS! they are the same size as sqerrel heads or possum heads. And show you the penetration and what it will do to a critters brain houseing! I shot 2 of them and was impressed. I cant wait to get more. They are great. My testing was on the Gamo hunter with nitro piston and big cat with spring. I shot them into plummers putty, on paper then the pits. Both were impressive. Well hope this helps anyone looking for a new target.
Have fu n. Good shooting.

Wow....good shooting at those avacado pits. At what distances?
I was shooting at an orange last weekend....50 yards with 25 to 40kph winds. Got about half my shots into/through it.

Lets see, Blasting Avacado pits, Tormenting Oranges, that are supposed to be rotten, all shot with AGs. Some shooters must be getting bored. What other fruits and veggies will fall victim to target practice. Personally I prefer Watermelons...easier to hit. But will need to wait till summer for them.
Maybe the Orange and Avacado carnage would be better served being posted under the "HUNTING GATE". Just to graphic in nature for the younger members of the GTA forums.

For the aces amongst you a Kumquat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kumquat ) could be a real challenge (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif)

Hey, don`t use a Chinese clone on those Kumquats.....that`ll be blasphemous.
There`s another member here who shot at marbles....I think with his Disco or Marauder....on his YouTube videos he also shot a banana and a pear I think.

I was shooting 35 ft on the avacado pits.
Marbles! Thats my next challange. My son will not be happy but hey I bought them! lol DO you know if he shot the boulders or regular size marbles? Will keep you guys posted on how it turns out.
-
Oh please don't take your son's marbles away (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cry.gif)
Buy him this (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3905947) and ask him to make marbles, boulders and tiny silhouettes for you, and it's safer to use it compared to glass (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif)
Btw never ever try shooting a golf ball *grin*

I like to shoot bottle caps and (don't tell Uncle Sam) pennys....Have a target with electricians putty around the edges and the bottle caps/pennys stick nicely. What's really cool is shooting a bottle cap....and it doesn't fly out of the target because you hit it dead center. Pennys are fun because the newer ones that aren't solid copper, shatter into about 6 pieces.
For a challenge, try wooden matches. The heads make a nice aiming point.
I do all these at 10 yards in the basement....still too cold outside and too much snow.

I still like paintballs set on golf tees for a challenging target at 25+ yards. I bought a box of them at Wally World fairly cheap. Put up a backer board so I can see them SPLAT. (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-surprised.gif)
Happy Shooting!!!!
