: Intro,Forum Question, and Who to Order From Question
: midnightsniper February 17, 2010, 03:29:29 PM
New guy from upstate SC.I been in air guns since I was 7 or 8 years old.I recently got back into them after a 16 year break.I saw show about praririe dog hunting on one of the sports channels. They were using a Gamo rifle with a long range scope. That got me to thinking about my critter problems and then it snow balled and I found ya'll.

Now I have a forum question. What's the outline for selling items in the classifieds?A lot of forums require a certain post count or so much time on the forum. One of the forums I moderate requires 60 days and 50 minimum posts. So if this is posted.I haven't found the info yet.

Last question.I have a large order for Crosman and Marksman pistols and accessories.I have seen so many bad posts over the past year about Pyramid Air,that I pulled my order after two weeks. What place or who would be a reliable source to order from.I'm not looking for a 24 hour turn around, but two weeks should be plenty of time to fill my order and at least ship it.Everything was in stock at PA.

Revised.Sorry for any confusion.

No minimum number of posts required to used the classifieds as far as I know.  The rules are posted when you open the forum.

Re Crosman parts, I would go directly to the source:

http://www.crosman.com/airguns/

The few things I have ordered, I got decent service.  I have also dealt with Roy Weid at Mountain Airguns with good service.  I believe he sells a number of custom parts.

Welcome to the GTA Forums Ben !

The BEST and Friendliest AirGun Forum on the Internet !!!!! And, IT'S A GREAT PLACE TO BE !!!!!

I believe that most of our members have returned to air guns after a time with powder burners.

As for the Classified Section, we have no rules other then those posted. However, I do not see many sales for new members without some history on the forums. When you post you should give some information as to where you have feedback, such as eBay, the Yellow ForumsB.O.I., or others that can be checked. This helps out some, at least it shows that you have some positive sales.

It also helps in my opinion to have your e-mail address listed in your User Profile.

Good luck, and I hope to see you around here often !

Bill

Thanks Big Bill.

I wanna correct some wording in my first post. It's misleading.I stated I wanted to purchase Crosman and Marksman parts. That was misleading. It should and will read Crosman and Marksman pistols and accessories.

Hey Ben, a big welcome to the GTA forum and family.  Lots of us airgunners took a "break" and then got back into it seriously!!!!  I think my break was almost 25 years.

I know there are occasional issues with every large vendor, but I haven't really had a bad experience with Pyramid. They do occasionally have a maddeningpellet backorder situation that isn't clear when ordering....

I didn't buy many whole guns from them because they were high-priced (I bought a lot of used guns, too), but they do seem a little more competitive now. I don't think they rate a sleazy or undesirable rating as online vendors go.
