: Hello all

I was a member on this forum a few years back, but a computer crush and than moving out into the boonies has kelp me off line.:0

I live in South Texas. As with many of you, My childhood was filled with BB/pellet guns. A Gamo S1K in .177 from Wally World started my second child hood. That S1K was followed up shortly by a custom S1K from one of the forum members, Vince B., with a .22 cal barrel on it.

Since than I have went threw many guns. Most were springers, with a few pumps thrown in. Some I have kept, other are long gone.

Two years ago I entered the “Dark Side” of PCPs with a Talon SS .  My latest purchase has been a air compressor, scuba tank and an Air Arms S400 in .22 cal. These toys are so new that I’m still setting everything up with them and haven’t filled/shot them (gave up on that torture machine  they call a hand pump).

Great GTA forums here. Lets keep up the good work. :emoticon:

Welcome back Glenn  :)

From a WallyWorld S1K to your own compressor, scuba tanks and a fine new AA rifle to shoot all that free air......  that's quite a jump  :)

I too started with the WallyWorld S1K and have made the leap to PCP and scuba ,,,, just can't seem to squirrel away enough cash though for the compressor..... maybe one of these days....

Nice to have you back with us....    :)

Welcome back! Nice stuff!

Yes Jeff,  it takes a big chunk of pocket change to set up a compressor. The way I look at it is, that it only cost three nice guns. To justify the compressor cost, I’ll pass up the next three guns I want. :emoticon:

Okay  that didn’t take long. Now back to the same old problem, what gun to buy next. The Mrod is sure is getting thick in my blood, he he he! :p

Going the compressor route wasn’t a hard choice. It was either gave up shooting PCPs or drive 100 miles to fill a scuba tank.

A big welcome back Glenn. I feel the pull of the dark side all the time, but haven't fallen in yet. LOL. When I do, I think I am going to get the Benjamin katana. I like everything about it but the dumb trigger guard. What were they thinking! Your friend, snookman

Welcome back Glenn. I like the picture of my favorite close ground support bird, the A-10A Warthog (Thunderbolt II) tank killer. Spent a few years at Myrtle Beach turning a wrench on them. (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif)

"Go Ugly Early"

I've been drooling over a Evanix Blizzard. The MRod is definately a good choice too. The fpe out of these bad boys has my head spinning. As soon as I can gather the green, I'm joining the Dark Side myself. Hope they still have cookies. LOL

Happy Shooting!!!!

Dave
