I shot a crow and 2 starlings this morning. All 3 at 25 yards with crow mags and the disco. Your guys tips really paid off. Thanks to all of you who helped me. Today the starlings and the crows landed on the bait. I woke up to a flock of 15 starlings.  Will post pics when i get the camera later today.  A special thanks to Jeff, for all the tips and advice. The crow was shot in the neck, right below the head. The starling was shot in the very top of the head. You can see the feathers are ruffled at the top his head, that's where the pellet hit. Wish i had the normal camera so you could have seen the damage, it's alot worse than it looks. The crow did twitch a couple times. The starling was on the rim of the cat food tray and thats where he stayed. He had cat food in his mouth. The 2nd starling was shot in the front of the chest, and the pellet did awesome damage. Something took him before i got pictures. I don't know what's going on with these disappearing starlings.
Matt.
PS. Crowmags are sweet..

I'll be up in the morning, ready to let the lead fly. The starlings came back after i shot the last one, but i didn't shoot at them because i want them to feel safe. In the morning, they are gonna get it again.

Nice shooting Matt.

Cat, Crow, or Hawk - each of those has been reported more than once as Starling steelers. Have you checked for critter foot prints around where that Starling went down ?

I've noticed the Crows land away from the dead bird and walk up to it. Plus, Crows often leave wing tip marks in the snow when they land and take off.

The Hawks I've had here land in one spot and don't walk around, just eat right where they landed, or there are no foot prints at all because they landed on the dead bird, grabbed it and took off.

Paul.

Nice shooting with the Disco!  They didn't stand a chance against the Crow Magnum pellets.  Too bad they don't fit in my 850's magazine or breach too well.  They are too heavy for my springers, or too light for the Condors' power..  I can't win!  :)  Hmm, I think I can shoot them with the 350 .117. I haven't tried that yet!

The guys are right.  Crows are funny that way.  I have seen them land 20yds away and walk slowly towards a dead Starling like they are minding their own business and don't know the Starling is there.  Nowadays they just stay on the neighbor's tree just a few feet over from my property and look down at the dead Starling drewling.  A crow has not stepped foot on my property since last October :(

Thanks guys. I'm really happy with H & N Pellets. The disco shoots crowmags and barracudas in the same hole at 25 yards. I couldn't believe it, it works out real well for me. All of the birds today were close so i used crowmags. I also spotted a squirrel, but he saw me and ran off into the woods. Maybe this morning i'll shoot some more pests.

Nothing this morning guys....Weather is bad here in Upstate NY. Hopefully tommorow i'll have more pictures. I shot the disco today and i'm averaging 3/4 inch groups at 50 yards with kodiaks. i couldn't be happier. The disco loves the kodiaks like no other pellet. Flyers don't happen any more, no matter what i fill it to. Shoots perfect from 2000 to 1200 psi. I'm moving the bait back to really test this gun. it passed the group test, so it's time for some long range sniping....

Excellent shooting at the Big Bird and the 2 smaller birds with your Disco.
