Anyone know rule of thumb OD bore size for a .22 caliber? Is it .281?

I usually just use a 1/4" drill bit then crown the exit. I've tried smaller, but it created some pretty big changes in POI compared to a plain muzzle. The 1/4" hole also changed POI, but not as drasticly.

Screw it. I'm going with .291. If my Air Arms TX200HC's exit plug is .291 I trust they know what they are doing. Off to the lathe.
