: Muzzle breaks for Disco
: arnie3981 February 28, 2010, 12:19:08 AM
I know that a couple of breaks for the Disco are available in the market. However, I wanna know which one of them would make the gun more neighborhood friendly? I guess it cant get as quite as a Marauder but any decrease in the sound is welcome....

I don't have mine in yet ( ordered last wednesday) But i heard the TKO muzzle brakes are great!
You can even search youtube.com and search....(benjamin discovery tko) and there are a couple videos demonstrating the sound, and comparisons.

users have said it's almost as quiet as a marauder

TKO's are great.   I have one on one of my QB78-D's and one on my .177 Disco..... works amazing on both rifles.  I am expecting one in the mail any day now for my new .22 disco...    Easy to install, look nice and work extremely well.  Besides that, Mike at TKO is great to deal with.

Youre gonna love that TKO brake. It literally cuts out about 80% of the noise...makes it very manageable for us backyard shooters.

Hey Gene, You said on another thread that the Katana was a Disco with a bigger stock, Marauder trigger group and a chocked barrel! Would I be right in saying that a Marauder trigger group would fit a Disco without any mods? If so, is the trigger group of the marauder better and why? Is it a two stage or made of metal? I'm thinking of trying to improve the tigger but due to lack of airgun spares in Spain I think it would be safer to swap parts rather than modify them just in case I screw it up!!

Truman I did not look at that when we had all three appart on the bench. But for sure the Kantana action and trigger will not work in either the Disco nor the Maurader stocks. I mean you cannot interchange the Kanta into the Disco or Maurader stock.

Cheers for that Gene! Looks like I may have to tinker after all then!

neighborhood friendly? I wasn't aware that a muzzle break is suppose to make a gun quieter (if that is what you speaking of)  I have a TKO on mine and I can not say it makes it quieter..I bought it for the looks, the quality is very good. But if you want to make it quiet buy a MuzzleBrake

Man......I think this is the second time i've seen you say the tko muzzle brake does not quiet down the disco. Ummmm I think something must be wrong with your hearing, and i'm not trying to be funny. But i think you are like less the than 1 percent that thinks it doesn't make it quieter. Mine works as advertised.

brand new out the box i shot the disco a few times...loud! too loud! people would start to get nosey after 50 shots im sure, and might just call the cops. with my tko installed , the loudest noise i hear is the pellet hitting the target. it's even quieter outside...and when shooting and game

I have the 6.5 inch TKO on my .177 and .22 Disco and they are absolutely amazing.   I could never shoot my disco's in my backyard range without those TKO's.  I also have a TKO on my .177 QB-78D and it performs just as well as they do on my discos.  They definitely work well and work as advertised.

I'm not  trying to bash the TKO, I like it but I bought it for only the look it added to the gun and wasn't expecting anything else...And my hearing is fine
