: JSB Predator Pellet
: Gamo X-Ring Shooter April 10, 2007, 08:02:03 AM
I keep reading alot about these JSB pellets.  I have never heard of them before but everyone seems to use to me.  So are these pellets any good for hunting?  I was looking at some online and the Predator caught my attention.  Is there really anything to that sharp polymer tip?

The one to ask is Jeff, AKA Longislandhunter.. I think he uses the Preditors exclusively when hunting certain critters..:)  My personal opinion is they are deadly accurate and will shatter bones very easily.. :)

The Predators are killer's guy, I use them in all my babies .177. What they hit, they destroy :) Ed

Brian,,,, those predator pellets really are superb.  I use them almost exclusively for all my small game hunting in both .177 and .22 caliber.  Ed hit the nail right on the head,,,, the tissue damage that the predators cause is awesome.  It's very rare if I hunt with any other pellet, the predators are without a doubt my standard hunting pellet.

Oh forgot to add,,,,, they are also one of the most accurate pellets in my rifles.

Hey Brian, yes the guys so right about the Predator's. They are THE most accurate and consistant pellet that I have used in my Gamo rifles. Hunting wise, their penetration is second to none. You definately need to try some out. I think you will be very pleased with the results.

Thank you, everyone for you input I really aprreciate it.  It sounds to me like they are worth trying.  So now I have another question.  Where do you buy yours from?  I saw that pyramydair.com had some, but is there anywhere in particular thats a good place to buy from?  Also do you know if they are made larger then 4.5, like 4.52 or 4.53?

Got a price for them at SW? There's one just 3 miles down the road from Airguns of Arizona, where I get all my pellets. They're $11.75 for a tin of 200 in .177 there.
