There's the question Gentlemen and Ladies
If you could only have five air rifles, regardless of whether or not they are springers or PCPs which five would you own and why. No trades allowed, no new purchases after five. Once it's yours by hook or crook its your for life or until you decide to give up this hobby for knitting or something. My five would be:
Beeman R10 Deluxe in .20 caliber-Scoped. I would need to scope all my rifles now. I can't hit didly sh*t anymore with out a scope unless I'm using a handgun.
It was the first quality air rifle I ever bought and I've had her longer than my adult children
Theoben Sirocco .177 caliber.
It has a gas ram. It can stay cocked for hours. I've always thought it was a beautiful, elegant rifle. .177 is the most universal caliber and it should put out around 15 ft lbs.
(This is harder than I thought)
Theoben Eliminator in .20 caliber
It is beautiful, powerful (it is still carrying over 22 ft lbs of energy 50 yards down range),self contained, and combines, in my eyes the best of the .177 and .22 with the least tradeoffs.
FWB 300s Universal in .177
The 300s was the penultimate Olympic style spring piston, recoilless air rifle. It is a little harder to come by than an RWS75, although that too was a top consideration,it can be shot bench rested or in a running boar match with equal poise, it can be scoped and I want to start shooting mini-sniping matches.
Whiscombe JW-75 with all four calibers, JW-80 in .177/22 orDual Mag in .22 or a Quigley in .22. Life is too short for cheap Cigars or cheap women (or men as the case may be). As long as we are swinging for the fences we might as well really swing for the fences. (Oops, I'm going to have to put some more thought into this)
I await with baited breath the input and musings of the rest of you Ladies and Gentlemen.

whiscombe, whiscombe, whiscombe, whiscombe, whiscombe....any model..... the absolute greatest handmade airgun ever made. :emoticon:
-
Ahh, but Bhawanna it is time to broaden your horizons. There are no other rifles you would have in you gun cabinet?
-
when you own a whiscombe...there are NO substitutes....nothing comes close!
-
Which Whiscobe do you own?
-
Do we still get to shoot the cool ones we give to our kids? They would get most of my pump guns, my chinese flea market specials and my co2 ones.
I would keep my
Daisy 880 I have had it since I was 14 and have put probably a million bb's through it with out any problems. It will probably never die.
MY Gamo Hunter, its so accurate and nice to shoot.
Gamo Big Cat. Its accurate and powerful and my next project. Triggers on the way and tuned sring is in the safe waiting to be put in.
Have an RWS 350 mag on the way. Think I would keep it.
And an Air Force Condor in 20 cal. I have always wanted one but they are still a little expensive for me. But they look so cool.
-
i don't own one because they are like the most treasured airguns in the world. they are no longer made and if you can find one for sale you will put out $3,000.00 or more for it....i have seen them go for as much as $5,000.00. but if i had 5 of them, that would be better than having gold bullion. :emoticon:

The 5 listed in my signature. They do everything I want to do with an air rifle. Plinking, hunting, target shooting and more. It's all covered with these. Now all I need is more time to shoot.
-
Bzzzzzzzzzz. That's six, James.
-
But you list is a little slim Jerry.
-
This is hard, I love all the airguns that I have. I'll have to say:
My CFX-.22
My Walther Falcon Hunter
My Winchester 800X-It treated me right.
I would like a Hammerli X2
and a Hatsan Torpedo in o.d. green
-
Vinny,
What about the airguns you don't have?
-
I sure the Wiscombe's are really, really nice...someday i hope to see/shoulder/shoot one.
My Beeman R8 ....Blueing, Stock, Hand Cut Checking.
I can just imagine how the Wiscombe rifles are built......WOW!!
-
Well, I would have to do some research and try what I could. But for now I would have to say:
Hammerli X2
Hatsan Torpedo
Crosman Tac 1 Extreme
Crosman 800X
RWS 34 with a wooden stock
-
I'm with Timmy on the cb9, best survival gun in the world it's self contained,it's easy to work on and a rebuild kit cost only $16!My 2nd choice would be a styer HP110 FT it's just a wicked gun with one of the best regulaters I've seen.#3 would be the beeman R1 because no colection is complete with out one good high powered springer.#4 would be a Jack Haley bigbore just because they canshoot up to 400 ft.lbs. And last but not lest the Marauder because you have to have a repeater!

Bzzzzzzzzzz. That's six, James.
I'm only coming up with 5 rifles. The P1 is a pistol.
-
Sorry, James, right.
OK, I only own three air rifles. But I am pretty satisfied with them.
Not sure I want to get all the stuff it would take to go PCP.
BAM B-26 .22
CZ Slavia 634
Walther LGR
Beeman P17
I'd keep the CZ if it had to be one. Amazingly accurate. Scoped with a Bushnell Trophy and tuned by Gene.

in order my rws350m.22,powerful accurate trigger and its a phil b airrifle 2)cometa fenix400 very smooth ,accurate ,light weight ,trigger is great 3.)b30.22 extremely a great all around airrifle and they dont make this cal anymore ,4)b26.177 this is my homerun airrifle 5.)benjiblue streak 1971 .20 cal likein brand new condition this airrifle never lets me down and its never to be underestimated its the best trigger i ever pull along with my ben frankiln 1969 342.22cal they r short stocked but packs a punch ,.i dont know much about airrifles but i know that when i aim if it hits its good i think that the benjis from the early 70,s and below r much better than the newer ones especially the trigger pull ,i m workin on a npss but dont know if i should get the remington or the bens xl ....to me accuratecy is more important than power but all mine comes with the full packge...thanks for listening to my long speeches jorge lopez......God bless us all ..

1) My Crosman/Revelation 760 PumpMaster circa 1967. For sentimental and historic reasons. (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif)
2) My Benjamin Super Streak .22/.177. Because it's a wonderful beast. (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-surprised.gif)
3) My Powerline 1000S. Cause my wife gave it to me for Christmas, it's a REAL tack driver and mainly it's just darn fun to shoot. (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif)
4) Evanix Blizzard or MRod. Cause the Dark Side is calling and the thought of 45-47 fpe from a .22/.177AG has my head spinning. (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-tongue-out.gif)
5) RWS M-54. Because of RWS quality plus it's a recoilless magnum springer. Should be a NAIL driver. (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-money-mouth.gif)
That's my five and I'm stickin' to it. LOL
Honorable mentions: Cometa Fusion, TX200, AF Condor.
Happy Shooting!!!!
Dave

Hmmm....
I thought we were only to own one really nice air rifle? Oh wait, that was another thread....
OK here's my list:
1. Sheridan Rocker Safety Blue Streak - Why? Because it's the only rifle I really need.
2. SHeridan Model A Super Grade - Why? Because they are rare and cool.
3. Sheridan Silver Streak - Why? Because I am supposed to pick more than one gun and this one has bling! :)
4. Sheridan Blue/Silver Streak with a Mac-1 Steroid tune - Why? More Power! Rrr Rrr Rrr
5. Beeman R7 - Why? In case I get tired of pumping. :) If I'm going to have a nice springer to plink with, it might as well shoot the same .20 cal ammo as the rest of my ficticious herd.

Benjamin 392, Beeman r7, Condor converted to .25 (like Harry's), Career Dragon slayer 50,(gotta have a deer gun right?), AA TX 200 prosport. I'm glad i don't have a limit on how many airguns i can own. What kind of world would this be?
