I was shooting an old Diana 50 underlever. While not a powerhouse (it's old, original spring and leather seal), the cocking effort is about like my CFX. Not having a chrony, I wondered how it would stack up in penetration against a B3-1? They seem to be about the same power (in .22) but I noticed that the B3 took at least as much effort to cock as the Diana. If my CFX is around 38 lbs, what's a B3 normally run? Maybe it's just an inefficient design? Or did they make some with heavier springs?

I've never measured the cocking force but all 3 of my B-3's require a hefty pull on the cocking arm to fully cock it.

As do mine but never measured the cocking force . Ed

Must be the design then. They certainly aren't power houses.

I tried to put the upgrade spring from Summit, & could not get it in so left ti stock.
But it was my first Tune job, and is a smooth cycle, easy cocking accurate AG, just load(as in 22mag!!.
