Yesterday, My son and I were shooting berries that measured .350 inches at 15 yards. My son was hitting them on a regular basis. As an off hand question, he asked what would that be like shooting at 100 yards. I said I did not know. Thinking about it to day, I divided 15 in 100 and got 6.667 . Then I multiplied .350 by 6.667 and come up with the figure of 2.333 inches. This is about the size of a hen's egg. Are my figures correct or at least close??. Anybody care to comment or chime in please do.
Actually, Son was shooting the berries. My eyes are not that good anymore.

Bogey just the thought of that question gives me a head ache..:) I am sure someone witll chime in on it. Good luck

Sounds good to me, take an egg out to 100 yards and try it. I've been able to shoot targets about the size of half a dollar at 70 yards with my whisper.

Bogey, you are correct. I confirmed it with the CAD program I run on my computer. With all other variables (wind, gravity, air resistance, inconsistent pellet shapes, offhand hold movement, etc.) taken out of consideration, and using the given distances and the initial shot spread of .350" @ 15 yds, at 100 yards, they will group the 2.333" you came up with.

This actuallyade me and the wife laugh cause she thinks this site is a waste. She "facebooks". Anyway the math looks good to me is the zero point is 15 yard then th first target is .35 The best thing to do though is shoot a egg . I think I'll do it tomorrow.

DJ, we resent that...:) Tell your wife that the whole GTA gang could show up at her door step one day if she does not get an attitude adjustment...:)

Thanks for your replies. Now where is that egg? And my target rifle. With the excellent scope. And where are those hand loads for it? Dang, think I will just keep shooting berries at 15 yards. In the back yard.
