It didn't take me long to drop my first starling of the year. Here's how it happened....... I took my Disco out of the safe, went out into the garage, loaded a pellet on my way to the door, opened the door, looked up into the tree just outside the garage, as I'm looking up a starling lands in the top of the tree, I raise the gun, safety off, BANG, starling drops dead to the ground. Right place at the right time with my Disco in hand. Kinda too easy, but it's still one less starling.
Here are the pics of my first starling of 2010.

Great shooting Brian. They are a fun and plentiful target. Nice work on the camera as well. Now that the first one is on the ground we expect to see a bunch more.

Nice shot Brian. I hope that's just the first of many !!!!
Now that the snow is pretty much gone ... so are the Starlings. Only a handfull to be seen in the tops of far off trees.
Guess "Starling season" is over around here .

They came up here Paul! Saw a large flock of robins around and I was looking up in tree and there was a group that didn't look like Robbins. I put the binoculars on 'em and they were yellow beaks! ( first I have seen here this year) I waited about half an hour and the robins were picking around on the lawn and a few came down ( almost 30 yards) I took a shot with the 850 and missed. Hope they come back , have to get some cat food ;-)
