: Rekord trigger safety problem
: DMikeM March 16, 2010, 09:15:52 AM
When I got my B26-2 the safety was hard to press so I tried to "ADJUST" it and ended up messing it up worse by bending that tab in many different directions. It became so bad I had to remove the safety completely. Does anyone here know how to set that tab so that the safety will click off gently? I looked on the .177 trigger group but I can't see any difference. I don't mind not having to set the safety off but I could never let someone else shoot the gun like this.

Maybe knowing it's in a B26 would help.

So it will not cock? Before the problem did you do any work on the gun and that includes turning the front ajusment screw in?

No, the gun will cock but you either cannot release the safety, unless you tap it with something hard. I have dented the stock near the safety getting it to release. I made some trigger adjustments with the screws but that's not really the issue.
I am considering taking the trigger group out of the B26 .177 and testing it in the .22 action just to make sure it is just the trigger assembly.
