I think that a 80% of us have at least 2 airguns <--(NOTE: this is a very conservative number).
Right now, I own 7 air rifles and 2 pistols..... but just 4-6 hours on fridays to practice shooting if I can go to the range, because I have to work and in addition I live in the city and I cannot shoot more in my yard, due to problems with the neighbords.
So CONFESS you;
@ How MANY airguns do you own???
and
@ How much FREE time do we have for enjoy your beauties??? <-(give at least one reason if you do not have to much time)
Feel free to tell us the truth!!! Don't cheat...
/Gerald :D
-
I had like twenty. Getting it down to maybe ten. Time? Who's got time?
-
Well i only own one with the second on it's way and as far as time i shoot indoors every evening from 8pm to 12am (after the kids go to bed) and every weekend outdoors until my arm gets to sore to cock the gun.
-
This post actually made me count them. Uh oh, more than I thought... but whenever I think about "thinning the herd", I only end up with one or two more that I don't have yet. And I get very liitle time to shoot at the moment.

Gamo Hunter 177
Gamo Big Cat 177 Oldest daughters shooter
Daisy 120 177 Youngest daughters shooter
RWS 350 177
2 Chinese underlevers 177
2 European break barrel 177 and 22
Daisy 880 pumper
Crossman 2200 pumper
Crossman 2250 CO2
Crossman 1377 pumper
Original Red Ryder, this one is old. Has a pellet stuck in it. My son saw every body else shooting pellets so in it went!
My son has a Daisy Buck Master and can hit a paint ball at 6 inches, lol. We all have to start somewhere and he loves shooting them just like dad does. Theres just something about watching pink paint splatter.
I used to think I had a problem till I was introduced to this forum, thank you Mr. Charlie for the fantastic triggers and sending me the link to this place! My wife tells all her friend I play with "BB" guns and how cute it is and they laugh then when I talk to the husbands and tell them about bending nickles and hitting 1 in targets at 60 yds they realize I am not playing with a walmart special at 3 am in the closet. I also own several powder burners but they are expensive and Im pretty sure the neighbors and wife would be really upset with me shooting a 7.62x54r in the garage or back yard. lol
Almost forgot the time. I get to shoot them at least once a week. My wife works nights and every other weekend so I get to shoot regulerly. During the week if the house is clean, after the kids go to bed I head to the garage. Me and the kids used to shoot almost every firday. We'd order pizza watch ghost adventures then down to the basement for target practice. They will still go to the swamp with me and my oldest girl (14) will still shoot some friday's, my son (6) is attached to my hip so if im not at work he is right there. He started kindergarden this year so the days i used to get off work early and sneak him out of daycare to go fishing are done. That sucks. My baby girl (10) is so into myspace and talking on the phone its crazy! That myspace is the devil! but her and her mom have all their farm crap on there.
-
well i own 9, 6 mine two my sons and one my wife owns.Time is something i dont have cause i still use sun dials hehehehe .
-
Like Dave, your post made me actually count em up and the answer is in all honesty I do have way more than I "need" but they do fill the "want" factor nicely :)
As for having the time to shoot them..... yes, since I'm retired I do have the time and on nice sunny days I've been spending some time each day in the backyard range shooting my BB guns, making sure I spend some time with the ones that haven't been shot in a while. I've thought about selling off a few but so far I haven't been able to bring myself to sell em. That may change soon though as I'm thinking of listing a couple for sale for the simple reason that I'm running out of storage room fast and I don't want to buy another gun safe.

Gerald,
The information you are about read is TOP SECRET MAJESTIC ! AND YOU ARE SWORN TO KEEP IT TOTALLY CONFIDENTIAL UNDER PENALTY OF DEATH !!!! A MATTER OF HOMELAND SECURITY !
I have 10 air rifles and 6 air pistols.
The DARK SIDE is working hard to bring me over, the DARK SIDE is VERY STRONG HERE !
I shoot as often as I physically can, not as often as I wish, but the time I do get to shoot brightens my days and nights :)

Mine's are in the list below.... I shoot at least 30 shots almost everyday...mostly air rifles though and off-hand. Usually in the 8 meters distance basement....on occasion in the backyard. I do all the GTA Target Shooting matches....so I've to shoot when the chance arises. And the friendly matches give me reason to practice and shoot.
-
At this very moment, just what's in my sig. A half dozen FUN shooters. I'm always looking though and trying to justify more. Time??? That's something kinda like "control" Gene. What's that???? LOL
I WANT to shoot more but I do not have an indoor area long enough and it's usually getting dark by the time I get home from work. Or I have other places I HAVE to be at or go to every day. I try to squeeze in some trigger time each weekend, even if it's just 5-10 rounds out my back door. I try to just forget everything and set up my target backstop at 25 yards but only get to do that every 2-3 weeks. Just a very busy and demanding life. (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif)Someone always seems to have a computer emergency that needs my attention. Or taking care of the necessary issues with an ailing Mom.
But I'mglad to knowmy happy half dozen are patiently sitting there waiting for me to find the time for them.
Happy Shooting!!!!
Dave

Now that would be a tough question for Gene. And you don't see him responding to this one either. I don't think he can count that far and doubt that he could actually get an accurate count because they are everywhere in his house. :o :o You wouldn't believe it if you saw it. :) :) :)

Hello my name is Mark and I am an airgun addict. Since Nov. 2008, I am up to 11 rifles, no pistols yet. Shoot every day, sometimes only time for 10 quick shots but I try not to miss a day.
-
Well... Welll.... Well....
In just one sentence, Repeat with me...I am an AIRGUN ADDICT!!!!..... GOOD FOR US!!!! YES!!!!
Congratulations to all of you that can get more than 2 airguns, because WE LOVE THIS HOBBY!!!! AND I WANT MORE.
AND
in addition Congratulations for of you that have a basement for practice. I am not so lucky on that.
The houses in Puerto Rico are not designed with basement. If my house had a basement, take for shure that I could be shooting all nights
after my 3 girls go to sleep..... ooooohhhhh YES!!!
SO.... I AM AIRGUNG ADDICT and PROUD OF BE ONE OF YOU!!!! YES.... PEOPLE!!!! UUUHHHRRRAA!!!!
***********************************************************************************************
NOW SERIOUS,
I NEED AN ADVICE:
@ WHAT WOULD BE BEST FOR ME TO LEAVE THIS ADDICTION????

Gene and Charlie are supposed to have more than the rest of us.
I'll bet I don't have as many as LIH/Jeff. Hope not, anyway. I don't list them because I don't want to show off, or reveal the extent of my problem.
I started buying lots of cheap Chinese springers and that ran the numbers up. You know what? I don't regret a single one of them. I see guys posting that if they had only started with a Krautmaster 9000 they would have been spared all those lesser models and that expensive learning curve. Not me! They are all cool, and the cheaper ones can be the most fun, because I am not (as) scared to work on them. Nothing like making a $60 cheapie a little better with your own sweat and blood.
You know the one that bugs me because I have never yet spent much time with it? It's not an RWS or a BSA.
It's the lowly B5-10. Very intriguing little machine, there.
-
Dave,,,, I couldn't have said it any better myself :)
They are all cool and the cheaper ones can definitely be the most fun sometimes :)
I too have quite a few cheap "chicom" shooters and I love each one of em. Like you I just love getting a cheap chinese shooter and working on it to tweak the most out of it. I just love my cheap chinese shooters and am always on the prowl for my next one :)
As for exactly how many air guns I own... like you I don't post them all.... to do so would only serve to, like you said, show the extent of my problem :)

Are you suppose to have time to shoot all your airguns? Mmmm, interesting concept. (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-surprised.gif)
The Benjamin 392 I got last November has only been shot 22 times. The Gamo Whisper I order at the same time has 155 shots down the barrel. The Talon SS I got in Nov. 2007 only has 790 shots on it.
On the other hand the AA S400 I got last month already has 618 pellets down the barrel. My oldest S1K is on it’s second spring.
I have an AG problem, I’m a sick man. I need a AG fix on a regularly bases. The dark side is now drawing me deeper and deeper into it. The force is to strong for me to resist.
-
LOL my sons got a B3 I rebuilt for him and a crossman pump thats a peice of crap to be honest... dads got a whisper... I have... well nothing yet but have a great donated project coming this week hopefully will have it shooting in a week or two... have some surgery friday so doubt I will feel like working on it much this weekend...
would have a few more but being unemployed at this time... well I am in cheap bas***d mode lol...
Dave looked up the b5-10 lol gonna have to find me one... looks like a chunk of machinery and would be fun to rip apart and see what can be done with it(love guns that look really chunky and industrial... think thats why I still shoot an original autococker( http://s148.photobucket.com/albums/s8/michael90t/Paintball/ (http://s148.photobucket.com/albums/s8/michael90t/Paintball/))when I am playing paintball... just keeping that damned thing up and running is part of the fun)
-
Thanks Bob for giving away my secrets..:) Bob is right but I love my springers and hate to let any of them go. I have quite a few air guns and yes they are all over the house. I outgrew my gun rack two years ago..:) So now they are in all the corners of my house..:)
Just let three of them go. Two went to my son and his wife and the third one went to a very special friend. And I am not even counting the ones I have bought to tune or mod... hehe
Don't ya loveit:) I am fully addicted and admit it..:)

Gene... I know you own this place and all... and I hope you understand I mean this with the best intentions but......I hate you.... I realy do.... :)
-
At 10 at the moment...was up to 21 ar one stage...

I have (put together) 7 rifles, 4 pistols, and I try to shoot every day. I don't get to shoot about 2 or 3 days a week.
-
Counting pumpers, co2, and springers, uh 18. Hmm... I didn't realized the depth of this problem. Oh yeah, there's those half-dozen pistola's.
I saw somewhere that when a fella's wife would ask him how many guns does a man need, he would answer "one more".
And like my mother-in-law says - "it's better than hanging out at the bars".
I have a couple of basement ranges - a 5m and 10m. Shoot a few pellets at least every other day - my workout days. I shoot between reps on the home weight machine. Makes controlling my breathing a real challenge.
-
I have the 4 listed in my signiture.... I try to shoot at least 15 minutes a day.... I shoot out my back garage door while waiting for the school bus to bring my grandson home, so this allows me to shoot in any kind weather... try for at least 1/2 to hour on sat. and sun. ..... love killin' them cans !!!!!!!!
-
I have three. A Crosman Powermaster 66, a QB-78 (currently out of commission), Gamo Whisper Deluxe. I am a college student so I only get to shoot when I'm home but when I'm there I shoot at least 1000 pellets per week. Soon to get my second springer. Something in the $300-$400 range. This hobby started for me last summer and has taken hold very very quickly.

I keep mine listed in my signature, along with date of purchase. I had a fever for purchasing for a while, and then my shooting was reduced by weather and the police knocking on my door. For about 2 years I was shooting in the yard as a break daily from my computer grind (my day job was computer oriented, and I do work from home, also in computers), and then I was relegated to the garage... I had fantasies of moving to a place where I could shoot outside again... and then lost my day job which might have afforded the change. I have nicer guns now, I shoot less, and work even harder to make up for what I lost. When it all evens out, I've got great shooters to look forward to, and some projects as well when I find some leisure.
Cheap chinese guns sparked my interest, and some awesome tuning by Gene refined my pleasures. I'll find a way this spring!
-
Too many!
-
Too many.......and not enough.
-
More than I really need, but still can pinpoint more that I want.
-
As for myself...I have only 8 but I'm still lookin"! I just added a .22 and the the other seven are .177. My wife, bless her heart, just looks at me and shakes her head when she sees what I'm checking out on the gun sites. I'm a firearm hunter/shooter from way back and grew up with guns around the home. All the farmers that had a groundhog problem have either moved away or passed away so I really have no-where to go shoot as I used to do. My airguns solved that problem in a great way. my garage is a good place to shoot in Winter while my backyard works well the rest of the year. I'm retired so I have plenty of time to shoot. Now that Spring has finally arrived in Missouri, I'll be doing a lot more.. I'm pretty sure that I'm not finished finding more airrifles that I just have to have! Addicted? You bet. Sorry? Not a chance!
-
You know Gerald,
This string may never end !
Since I posted my "secret" number of air guns, my collection, stash, or hoard has grown by two fine air rifles !
I hope that the buying of air guns subsides for awile, at least long enough for me to get to understand and enjoy my new acquisitions !
But since I posted that I have reached the end of my "Short List", my eyes have been wandering toward a IZH 46M ! This is a terrible addiction !!!!
