Anything I can poke holes in or blow apart...lol.

In my basement I built a 4' by 4' box frame out of scrap lumber. Used mechanics wire to fasten rugs over the top and 3 sides. It's my destruction cage - hee-hee.
Most of the time I punch paper in a pellet trap in "the cage". But for real fun I blast plastic toys picked up at Salvation Army for .50 to 1.00 a piece. Of course I have to throw in some plastic army men and clay molded "aliens".  I've also built a shelf(s) full of "reactive targets" made from Popsicle sticks, cut up beer cans, cardboard, clay, and liberally applied hot glue. Aforementioned army men and aliens included.  What can I say, 61 years old going on 13 again... and lovin' it!!!

At 30 yards, a stick of blackboard chalk. I start at the tip (top) and see how many times I can hit it and still have something to shoot at.

At 50 yards, a goat bell (about half the size of a coke can). I love the sound it makes.(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif)

Pass 50 yards, a coke can (witch I seldom hit).

If I feel like working hard (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-frown.gif), I’ll put a Gamo knock down squirrel out any where from 30 to 50 yards.

A couple of spinners are out year round from 15 to 50 yards and take their share of whacks.

I cut out a bunch of 1 inch square wood blocks. They are fun to bounce around at 20 to 30 yards. Figure as long as I can hit the 1 inch targets then a starling or squirrel's head should be no problem. Out past 30 yards I like to shoot at empty 20 gauge shotgun shells. Their bright yellow color shows up relly well.

Golf ball on  a string @ 40 yds. I have 5 or 6 Golf balls - Drilled 1/4 hole thru it, painted various colors. hanging on nylon rope. It's basicially the size of a squirrel or rabbit head. Definately challenging

up close , 15-20 yards - asprins.    35-45 yards - paintballs.    55 yards - 12 gram co2 cartridges hanging down on a wire (quite challenging).   95 yards - gary spark's cowbell hanging down at about 20 ft off of the ground from an oak tree.   paper for grouping set at 17 yards, 33 yards, 45 yards, 55 yards, and 61 yards - it's just copy paper w/ three spaced out dots made w/ a magic marker which are about the size of a pencil eraser.    the paintballs are awesome - they explode very nicely.

Shooting at spent shotgun shells while at the gun range.  And on occasion some 30.06, .308 7mm etc spent cartridges.....usually at 30 yards distances.  Today I did nail a few 30.06s at 50 yard distances.....took 4 to 7 shots to nail one though.

Walnuts, paper Targets, small clay disks, snails at 40 meters if the happen to be near my target, small plastic bottles about 10cm tall suspended from a thin bit of wire so it sways about in the wind! I'm not too choosy about what I shoot at aslong as it is inert! Unfortunately, it's illegal to shoot feathers or fur here in Spain!!

I bought a "quadrant target" after seeing one last year and have been quite pleased with it.

http://www.steelplinkers.com/Quadrant.html

It's made from heavy gage steel, and has withstood many shots. Seems to withstand even PCP energy levels. Took it to Ron Bradford's, and it seemed to be popular.

The bullseye at center swings on a longer (thin) arm, and the four quadrants surrounding the bullseye are more massive, so that when you hit one, they move but typically rock slowly.
If you hit dead center, the bull swings round several times rapidly, in a visually satisfying manner.

Put this target out there at 30 yards, and you can fire away. If you miss the bullseye, there is a visual indication that lasts a few seconds telling you if you are high, low, left or right.
Simple and durable. The company is a little enterprise by a laid off airgun hobbiest. I think this is worth $40.

I found this on a search, looks pretty cute. But the laziness factor of just putting that Steelplinkers target out, firing away, and just bringing back at the end of the session is very nice. I've left it outside on the back porch all winter, I just hit it with some WD40 every once in a while.

At 10 Yards in the basement:  Paper targets, Beer Bottle Caps, Penny's, Match Sticks, Plastic Army Soldiers.  At 30 yards outside: Chipmunks, Pine Cones, 12 Gram CO2 bottles (tried a golf ball, but ricochets too much).

Jerry's quadrant target from Steel Plinkers.  The thing is addictive to try and see how hard you can make it flip.

Aside from paper targets, tin cans and soda cans are my favorite. Such a satisfying "tink" when they're hit and they look real cool after they've been abused by pellets. Oh! I also like to fill old pellet tins 3/4 full with candle wax, tape the lids on, and shoot at those too. Ya get the tink of metals and the wax often catches the pellets.

Aluminum cans, medicine bottles, empty CO2 cartridges, teaspoons, steel plates, empty shotgun shells, votive candles, and even paper and cardboard.

My 'Fly on the Wall' target or my 'Osama Bin Laden' target (center of forehead shots are my favorite) at 10 meters usually offhand unless I get lazy. All winter that's all the distance I had.

Did that also past week and last winter.Instead of ice cubesI filledsome small paper coffee cups with water and freeze them. ThenI drop out the ice and shootthem at 50+ yards distances.....got to watch out for the exploding ice particles!!!! Didn't know a .177 from a "1000"fps airgun can be that devastating!!!

You bet, shooting ice is cool (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif)

I couldn't resist and filmed it last summer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=102yp-QwH2o  (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=102yp-QwH2o)
