: Not as exciting as a Fox, but still alot of fun.

Had a few minutes to get out today while my daughter was playing at a friend’s house and my wife wanted to do a little shopping. Because I think the birds are getting wise to the two vehicles I drive I had my wife just drop me off on her way to the store. I actually got a little lazy today and didn’t retrieve every bird I shot, but I did go and pick up a few of them. The Eurasian dove was shot with the Asian Beast from 55 yards (lucky shot right through the neck) and the Starling was taken with the same rifle from 42 yards. The Starling next to the little Daisy was only at about 17 yards. I had a chance at bunch more Doves but opted to only take the one, and I did see the first ground squirrel of year today. I’ve noticed when I miss with the B28 I miss by a mile, but when I do connect the pellet makes a mighty solid thump. Gotta love that sound, especially at longer distances.

Nice shooting Dave!!  That's a nice threesome you got there :)  Too bad we don't have Eurasian doves here.  Nice pics!

Shooting a fox is not all that 's cracked up to be but yes exciting nevertheless  8)  I will still enjoy shooting Starlings and the usual game.  I hope some Groundhogs come visit this summer!  My favorite prey.

Harry I know how you feel man. When I was younger I use to do some pest control work as a bit of side business and I’ve taken my share of mommas. Everything from Foxes to Raccoons and even some Beavers, but when they are causing a nuisance and you’re getting paid to remove them you just have to deal with it. I know it comes as no comfort right now but kits get lost in nature all the time and the Red Fox is an extremely abundant animal.

Good shooting at those birds with your two air rifles.
