Saw 2 of what I believe are rare birds flying over the backyard range this morning. Couldn't find them in any of Jeff's links.

That b29 is sex!!!!! awesome planes you had there... I think the sound is the best party. Nothing like prop driven planes

If Jeff sees these, they will be in his oven, wrapped with bacon, lol.

Love them rare birds Ric. Nice pics. Do you think they were migrating north for the summer?

Wow a private air show how cool is that? I dont get to see cool vintage stuff like that flying around where I live. The things I usually see are things like a black box with a parachute on it from a satallite in a dry creek bed lol. Ok Ok I called the company after doin research on the net about the company, they sent me a 100 dollar check and a prepaid shipping label for UPS to get there black box back. I still think I would rather look for rare birds.

We have a Wing of the Commemorative Air Force at an airport in Mesa , AZ, and they have a lot od old planes fly in from the other wings around the country to give rides in the spring when the weather is bearable here. I live about a half mile from an airpark that has a lot of old planes and homebuilts there, from an autogyro to an F-86; also some AT-6's, Pipers, Cessna's, a Citation X bizjet( big , quiet, fast) and they build the Rotorway Helicopter kits there. There's always something flying around and I live at the end of the base leg of the landing pattern. Pretty neat!

I LOVE WWII War Birds!
There's a small Squadron of P-51D Mustangs at the Hayward Airport that fly to the Local Shows. I Love watchin em fly over on the weekends in formation.
I saw them Escorting a B29 a couple years ago. It might be the same one you photographed too! If I remember right, there's only 3 B29's in Airworthy condition.
