I spent some time in the backyard range today shooting rifles I haven't shot in a while and I wound up taking out my .20 cal RWS 48 A few months ago I had bought some new .20 cal pellets to try out, among them were the Crow Mags and the JSB Domes. The crow mags shot great, giving me nice dime sized groups at 30 yards but the rifle absolutely has a love affair with the JSB domes, giving small ragged hole groups. I had the 48 sighted in with Kodiaks but after seeing how the JSB's were shooting I resighted her in for the JSB and now I can't wait to take her to the duck farm and get in some woodchuck hunting :)
Guess I'm gonna have to order more .20 cal JSB's

Don’t you just hate that.(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cry.gif) You think you find the best pellet for a gun and then down the road you find a better pellet.
One thing for sure, it keeps your pellet supply well stocked.
Now let us hear some 48 at the Duck Farm stories.(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif)

I haven't had that problem with my .20 cal R-9 Jeff.
It seems to love everything I have put through it. It does shoot the JSB's the very best, but only slightly better than CP's. It even shoots the Benjamin .20's very well, and that's fine with me, as they a bit cheaper for stump shooting !
I have been a fan of the .20 for many years and I believe that you are going to also !

Actually Bill my .20 48 shoots all the .20 cal pellets I have very well, it's just that I only had a couple of different types. I had predators, FTS, Benjamin domes and kodiaks,, all of them shot well, but I wanted to get in a wider variety of .20 cal pellets so I ordered the JSB's, the Crow Mags, silver stings and brown box CPL's. So far the rifle isn't pellet picky at all, but these JSB's are literally almost going into the same hole at 30 yards, it's amazing :)
Like you, I've always liked the .20 cal You get the best of both worlds :)
I haven't hunted to much with the 48 but that's going to change this year, especially since the rifle is a real hammer :)

I have .177s, .22s, and.25s but an R-10 in .20 was my first quality air rifle and now, evenafter more than22 years the .20s still have a soft spot in my heart.
