Shot this fellow just a few minutes after 8pm tonight.
After a 21 grain shorted out his fusebox he bought a ticket outta town.
And for anybody who has seen the pictures of my homemade skunk trap, its caught 2 so far and so far NO SPRAY=NO STINKY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice shooting Ray.
I’m sad to hear your skunk trap is working so well. (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-frown.gif) I really enjoyed your thread on the skunk and trap below and was hoping for more entrainment.(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif)
Good luck at stinky trapping and keep up-wind just in case.

You 're on a roll Ray! Way to go with that big pistola :) Have you chronied that monster yet?
What do you do with the skunks you so successfully trap? Release them far away, or put one in their head? :)

great shooting!!

No, I haven't checked the fps yet.
And yes, I take the skunks far away and release them.
I don't want to be anywhere around a dying skunk again.
They squirt and spray until they are completely dead, and I just don't like the smell.
Not me brother.

I am with you Ray! Those little suckers spray until their last breath. It must be a natural reaction of the nervous system because both the ones I got where shot in the head with overwhelming power. They both sprayed during the 3-4secs it took them to expire. I got lucky with the 2nd one though. It still sprayed but not as much, and most of it ended up on its body and not the ground. My car still smelled for 3 weeks even though I double-bagged it and put in a cardboard box in the trunk to throw it out a few miles away. Never again! (yeah that's what I said after the 1st one, hehe).
