: Hi all
: caplock March 28, 2010, 12:41:07 AM
Just a quick hello from England from a new member.
Shooting almost everything that goes bang (or pop!) from centrefire hunting rifles, muzzle loading .44 & .36 pistol (Remmington NMA and Colt 1851) modern SXS and O/U shotgun, Baikal, Beretta, Miroku, muzzle loading shotgun (Pedersoli) and of course air rifle and pistols ( BSA Ultra, AirArms S410, Weirauch HW 80, HW 99, HW95, Gamo CF30 and CFX, Crosman 2300T, Gamo Compact, Gamo AF10, Umarex CP88 and S&W 586) Think that's about it, of course as you probably know the cartridge hand guns were taken out of private ownership some time ago in U.K but I think I have enough toys to keep me going!

Look fwd to being here, have just placed an order for one of Bobs GRT triggers for the CF30 which is overdue a strip and re seal so will report on its revival and performance once back in the fireing line.

Best regards to all, John :)
: Welcome John.

Only one other Webley in the collection from the Golden years (when they were still made for shooters to last a lifetime and before the accountants stepped in!) or before the name was sold to anyone in whatever country!

1978 .177 Webley Vulcan in walnut stock.

I have not taken any pictures of my Webley Vulcan .177, but I have one in mint condition sitting in my gun reack..:)  It is a late 1980's version. One day I hope to have the complete collection..:)

Nice bit of history the Vulcan (named after the RAF bomber of the 50's-60's). It was webley's counter answer of the time to the German Weirauch's that were coming into the country back then and really opened the Brit manufacturers eyes as to what a spring gun could and should be. These things crop up now and then at sales and gunshops where people bring them in as a trade for something more up to date.

Ya John there are air guns and then there are air guns...:) They do not make them like they used to..:)  Especially the Webley line of springers..:)

Hi John, a big welcome to the GTA forum and family.  You might be a newbie here but it looks like you have tons of experience with airguns and powder burners.  Glad to have you with us.
