it seems that after only 2000 or so shots my whisper is slowing down most likely my fault, shot 300 10.6gr pellets & a few lite ones in it before you all showed me the diff. . sorry mr. tuna I really ought too learn to read first & then shot! I've gotten alot of ideas from all the threads here, but I'd like some fresh ones or old on the best things too put in a whisper .177cal, I know a grt111 is going in,but I'd like ideas on best springs, seals & any thing extra too make it top notch,I'll polish & true all inners myself(or have the boy do it lol). so please a few thoughts my way if you get a moment. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!! P.S best places to buy too?

the above link is for the macarri tune kit I put in my big cat. It is awesome and realy turned the gun around. I too shot the pba ammo a few times and heavy 10.65 gr pellets through it. My brother in law also dry fired it to test the power is what he said. Idiot. But any way that kit come with all the seals and lubes and spring. Should only take about an hour and a half for tear down and rebuild. The red seal is the apex seal. After installing all this and the grt my big cat is shooting touching groups at 15 yards and 1/4 in at 25 from a lean chair and brought velocity up into the low 900's they were in the mid 800's. I shoot jsb exact 7.33 gr out of it.

Also build a good spring compressor. There are a few plans on here. Good luck have fun and be careful.

I found out the apex small worked the best in my whisper, James Maccari said you can't always go by the color of the seals, mine were light blue Apex and purple Telsa. The apex small seal will be the larger of the two, it is about 1.028 in size and the telsa will be about .995.

Aparently, there is quite a bit of differance in bore size of some makes of Springers with stamped steel recivers.

My 22 Whisper bore is well under 1 inch ID so I had to use the smaller of the two sizes. When I contacted him, Maccari recommended his two seal "New- Bam,Gamo,TX200  Problem Solver Seals" set.

And  as UncleJ pointed out, the colors can vary. Go by size and name, not color.

Ahhh see you learn something new everyday. I ordered 2 kits and 3 extra apex seals and all apex small  were red so I assumed they were always red. Have to measure them if I have to order more. Good to know, thanks for the info.

I've used the small apex seal and the E3650 spring in a couple of my Gamo rifles and both have worked extremely well.  That tune kit gives you everything you need in one box  :)
