: brake?
: chortdraw April 05, 2010, 05:06:36 AM
I ordered a Beeman universal muzzle brake for my Rem. Vantage and just got the message that the manufacture has quit making them! So now I have to find another brake. The barrel measures 590 and most of the other brakes are a different size. What do I do know? Is this something I will have to get made or make myself? Is there a place or person that makes these for all different guns? I also want to tune this gun so I will have to find the right seal and spring. Would Adventures in air guns carry these?
    need some advice/.......Chortdraw

I'm confused, which isn't unusual for me. (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-surprised.gif)

Beeman still shows the universal as well as the ported models available on their web site. HERE (http://www.beeman.com/price.htm)[/b][/i]

Also, check these places and see if anyone else has them in stock. Beeman Universal (http://www.google.com/products?hl=en&q=beeman+universal+muzzle+brake&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=d0K6S4PxG5Pe8QSLoMTqAw&sa=X&oi=product_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CBEQrQQwAA)[/b][/i]

I bought the Beeman ported model and like it.

Happy Shooting!!!!

Dave

Here is a link to Airgun Artisans' site, there are some really nice custom brakes there.   http://airgunartisans.com/AAMuzzlebreakMain.htm

This is one that I am interested in. They are made by Mikayla, from Airgun Artisans       http://cgi.ebay.com/Muzzle-Brake-5-x1-3-VENT-Aluminum-39-or-Brass-10_W0QQitemZ140364307270QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item20ae5d5b46

I hope these links help. Good shooting, snookman

I know muzzle mack was in the process of moving and i waited close to 3 weeks for him to finish his run of breaks that he claimed would be some 15mm in there so right now might be the best time if he has completed his move to idaho. actually just checked and he does have them up on ebay but are pricy.

I called Compasseco and asked them about it. They said Beeman is going through some changes and they aren't sure when or even IF they would be getting any more brakes from them. I checked a few others on the web page and none have them in stock. This is sad. It took me about a month of waiting to get my vented model. Kinda glad I ordered 2. Seems these may become extinct like dinosaurs. (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-surprised.gif)

Looks like your best bet is one of the other suggested builders or maybe one of the talented folks here can fix you up. I know there are several on nhere with the skills!!!! Wish I were one of them. (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif)
