Sending a AR22 scope back to Crosman due to a problem, when you move your head the cross hairs also move, does this have a name, she told me to describe the problem? Along with a check for $10. New to air guns and scopes as you can tell.

It's called paralax and you can read the definition here. (http://www.6mmbr.com/parallax.html)[/b][/i]
Happy Shooting!!!!

Most diff. paralax unless their is adj. on scope nothing they or you can do,get a better scope, or learn too hold the same each time!!!

What was the $10 for? Figured crossman could afford to spring for shipping on the way back to you.
You might move the scope back and forth to get the right eye releif. My Brother inlaw and nephew set up his crossman with the scope about 3/4 in from his eye and wondered why they couldnt hardly see or hit anything.
There was a link posted earlier that might also help. I have attached it below. Might tinker with it myself. Good luck.

DJ,
The $10.00 to cover return shipping and handling is common. In fact, very few company warrentees cover shipping and handling.
It's nice that manufacturers replace/repair under warrentee, but each time they do, the customer is out shipping both ways, and you can look at it that just got added to the cost of that "bargan" item. That can add up to some rather expensive "cheap" items after awhile. That's why I never bothered to send my Gamo scope in for replacement. If it quits again, the shipping/handling to get it replaced under warrentee could wind up being more than the scope is worth.
When I hear a number of folks talking about how good the same companie's warrentee is ... I cringe. I'd rather hear about a company who's products are so good no one needs to find out how good their warrentee is !!! Unfortunately those type companies seem to be becoming fewer and fewer.
Paul.

I wasn't too worried about the $10, was wondering if there was really anything wrong with the scope other than being a cheap one. I finally got the ring loose off the front and have been playing with it, don't have it mounted, and it seems a lot better. Guess to really know I will have to mount it and check it out, thanks for all the info. Besides being new to air guns and scopes I'm old with bi-focal eyes so really have a hard time with iron sights.

I doubt anything will happen when they check it out. Just $10 wasted.
