: No Safe Haven for Grey Squirels In South Carolina..
: Gene_SC April 05, 2010, 02:42:55 PM
Well this afternoon Ed said he needed a fix.. So he went into the house and grabbed the new Crosman Trail NP .22 he has been clutching for 4 days with dear life...:) While I was in the shop working on a new project he was hunting greys..:) Here is his tally for this afternoon.. He hit the grey in the fuse box on left side of head and exited just above shoulder on right side. This shot was approximatly 30 yards and up 30 feet high in a tree. Beeman Field Target Specials .22 was the lead used..:)

It was a rough day hehe I've been fighting a cold bug but this guy made me feel much better. The Trail can make short work of nuters.Ed

Great shooting on the squirrel. Looks like you guys are having some nice weather in your neck of the woods. A late season storm is expected to give us 4 to 6 inches of snow by tomorrow morning. Just as the ground squirrels here were starting to get active. I'm doing my best not to buy that gun and seeing this and reading posts about it is doing nothing for the well being of my marriage.

Nice shot Ed.

My Trail NP really likes the Beeman FTS pellets too. Good velocity and accurate as well.

Good shooting Ed. Hope you get that cold bug just as dead as the nutter.

Too bad you guys don't have an XL to play with also. If I wasn't having such fun with mine, I'd a shipped it down there for you two to try !   :D

I think we know the real storey here.     Gene is making his house guests hunt for thier dinners.   And has disquised it as having fun shooting and hunting and such.

Hey, whats for breakfast?

: What's Ed doing in SC? Did I miss that much in 1 wk?
: only1harry April 07, 2010, 12:07:01 PM
Nice shot Ed!!  How did you end up in SC?  I know you didn't run out of squirrels in Michigan! hehehe.

I haven't logged on in 6-7 days (because of frigging work) and Ed has relocated to Papa Bear's already?  :)

Ed does not need anyone to feed him.  He shoots his next meal :)  But hey, if Gene or Bob offered, why would Ed say no?   8)

I 'd personally put him to work and then feed him :)

Ed, come on up to NY and bring some tools.  My house needs a lot of work - I 'll feed you well :)  You won't go hungry here!  And while you 're down there, bring Timmy with you.  I really need a carpenter.  I am not kidding.  My son has destroyed the house and I have no time to fix the broken doors and holes in the wall, and, and, I can go on and on.  I have enough work for someone for about a week - full time.  I don't have any time to do anything myself.  All I do now is work and it sucks.

My porch needs a ceiling too.. oh and a new rug downstairs :)  Home Depo only 2mi. away.. I pay you fix/install stuff  and get free food plus a few bucks $ for beer.. and the most important thing:  Lots of nice guns to shoot with a 4500psi tank that's got plenty of air for 40+ refills! That's 1,500-2K shots :)

I've been down here for about a week now brother Harry picking up the tuning tip's from the pro's Gene and Bob. Nothing's better then hanging with the two of them and getting the pro's guide to tuning oh and dropping a few nutters in the process hehehe. Ed :)
