Well, I pushed the order button today on 2 items. First I got me another Shooting Chrony F-1 to replace my current one. My current one, which I’ve had for at least 6 years, has seen better days. It’s been shot twice that I can remember (although glancing blows that didn’t affect its function) and now the wires are coming out. I pulled the plug off the top of the 9-volt and the wire pulled out. I tried re-soldering it but to no avail. It still gets intermittent contact which causes a low battery warning. So Midway USA had them on sale for $69.99 so I figured it was time to retire the old guy. With the price being good I thought it was a good time to grab one. There are out of stock till approximately the 15th of April.
The second item I ordered was a wood stocked .22 Benjamin Trail XL. I blame this on Jeff (Long Island Hunter) for posting those shot groups and velocity strings! I didn’t need another magnum but for the price ($225.59) I had to grab one. Why so cheap? Well Midway had them for $239.99 (IIRC) and with my birthday around the corner, they gave me special “birthday pricing†on many items when I logged in. I had placed 1 of the Benji’s in my wish list a week or so ago, you know just in case. I read this morning on GTA that Midway raised the prices back up. So I checked and sure enough, up they were. However, the one sitting in my wish list from before still showed the lower price! A couple of quick clicks moved it and the chrony to my cart and I was one click away from submitting the online order. A quick call to Midway and the nice young lady assured me that the lower price from my wish list would be honored and locked in, even though it’s out of stock! Sweet! Click, send. I still can cancel the order (for the Benji) if I come to my senses or I (or my wife) change my mind.
The rifle isn’t supposed to be in stock till mid June, so I have some time to sell off a couple rifles and make room and funds for the Benji. I’m hoping they will be in stock sooner, but if not, so be it. For $65+ bucks less than most places, I’ll wait.

That's an excellent price. Midway's good folks and I'm glad to see they prove it once again by honoring your B'day special. My XL was an early B'day present too and one of the best I've gotten.
Happy B'day and I hope you get as much fun out of yours as I have out of mine.
Now the tough part ...the waiting ! :D

wow every bodies birthday is coming wow my is on the 17th of april ,aries 1966, 44 years old next week saturday .There,s a restaruant that gives u a free meal on your birthday and there main meal is steak u must take i.d. and a small size cake for 6 people so im headed toward there on my day.jorge
